thanks reeceyburger. will give that a try, need to head out now, i noticed it was a bit discoloured underside near the ones at the top, so ill guess thats the ones to start with

how do you figure out the faulty ones? the top fuse is blown, so i assume its the top of the board, how do you test these?Leave a comment:

ahhhh wrong setting on multimeter! what a t*t.... ok so getting 24v to inverter, but one of the 125v fuse is out, how can this be blown with the 24v going in? must indicate another problem on the inverter... any ideas?Leave a comment:

hi guys, i fixed this tv a while ago by replacing the bad capacitors.
now tv wont fire backlight. though tv does turn on the back light is off
i tested the backlight volts....its measuring 53 volts from psu?!
after taking cover off inverter i saw one of the fuses was blown
what would be causing the high volts to the inverter?
ic? sorry, im very much a novice!
any pointers would be appreciated. -

hi all, how are you all today?
ok i got my hands on this plasma tv, when its turned on at first it comes on ok for about 30 seconds then turns off, comes back on after a min then repeats the process.
i opened up tv, no bad caps or any dry solders. the vs is bang on though the va is a couple volts low, tried to ajust but best i can get is just 1 volt below.
i have disconnected the sus boards but the tv still seems to turn off as when they are connected
the psu board is a eay58316301. cant find any repair kits to give me a hint that its... -

hmm, i dont have the proper remote for this.
i have tuned a universal one and the menu i get is quite a short menu, and at the bottom it says to exit press q.menu......perhaps this aint the right menu and the real remote has a menu and q.menu? doesnt have buttons on the side just one crappy one....Leave a comment:

no, wasnt that.even with the side keys disconected the led still flickers slightly, the keys all work as does the front power key. only when the ir board with the led on it is connected the tv wont fire up, would the small led drain the power for the 'on' signal?Leave a comment:

i thought thatto,,yrt when you remove the small board and re wire it once tv is on it seems to turn off and on ok with the button that is on the ir board.its a small mounted swithch it seems to click up okLeave a comment:
