• Re: UN60F7050AF issue (5x) double blink

    Hello,

I would like to provide the solution to my issue. It was the power supply indeed.

I will be testing the old power supply later. I decided to buy one online and it fixed the issue.

    Thanks

Yes, that is correct. Power was connected to the power supply while I was checking for relay voltage.

    Thanks...

    budm,

can you let me know which legs I need to select to test the relay for the 5VDC?

I do have some knowledge, but not as much as you :-)

    Thanks

    hello budm,

When I connect the power to the power supply, I do not hear a click.

I checked the CP804 and there is no voltage at all. It shows ZERO all the time.

If its the relay, can you assist me where I can get it?

    Thanks

  • Re: UN60F7050AF issue (5x) double blink

This is the test I have performed. With the power connected, I checked the 450v capacitors and they do not have any voltage reading. I also checked the film capacitor in the HOT area and it does not have any reading either. Can someone tell me if I am checking the film capacitor correctly while the power supply has power?

Or do I need to remove it and test it outside?

I attached some pictures of the film capacitor.

    Thanks...

Thank you for the assistance Diah and budm.

I did what budm mentioned, and I did not see the lights turning on. I did not hear the power supply making the clicking sound either.

  • UN60F7050AF issue (5x) double blink

    Hello everyone,

I have a Samsung UN60F7050 TV that I got from someone else with the issue that the red power light was blinking (5x) double blink. After my own basic troubleshooting, I decided to buy a mainboard that was available on eBay, but unfortunately it did not work, the problem persisted. Can someone assist me with some troubleshooting?

Here are some pictures (mainboard and power supply).

    Thanks...

  • Re: samsung UN46D6050 sound but no picture

    Hello everyone,

I got another TV today UN55D6000SF with lines on the screen. I bought it mainly because I have a 46" Samsung TV that has no picture, but you can hear sound and the backlight works (the parts are crossboard - mainboard and t-con only, not PSU).

The mainboard and t-con for the 46" and 55" are crossboards, but the power supply is different, that was the reason that I could not test the parts from the 46" TV on the 55" TV cracked screen.

    Now that I purchased another...

    Thanks budm,

I'm suspecting it is the t-con. I'm going to order a t-con for it and that will be my last part that I purchased.

    Thanks budm,

The bottom pins voltage are as follow. I inserted my digital voltmeter point lead on the white connector while the TV was on and that's how I got the even pins volatges.

That's what I understood from your reply....

    Hello everyone,

I took some voltage readings. I hope you guys understand it. I do not understand the legend on the power supply board. Perhaps someone can let me know if the readings are OK.

    Thanks...

@CapLeaker - Yes, the screen stayed black. I used a flashlight, and nothing is displayed on the screen.

@tom66 - correct, I purchased a broken screen TV and I was able to use the mainboard from that broken screen TV, problem persisted.

@nomoresonys - The only board I purchased was the power supply. The TV I purchased with broken screen had the same mainboard and t-con, but not the power supply board, so after replacing those two parts that were the same, the problem persisted, then I purchased the power supply...

    I got 12v reading on both t-cons.

So my question is this, eventhough I see the backlight turning ON when I turn on the TV, and when I change channels, what else gives light to the screen?

If its the backlight, how come I see it ON?

With the TV on standby, I disconnected the cable that goes from power supply board to the mainboard and the backlight came on.

As you can see, I'm trying not to give up on this TV until I have no other test to perform.

    Hello,

Ok, I removed a flex cable from the t-con, nothing. I removed the other flex cable side, nothing.

I shined a flashlight to the screen, I do not see anything, its completely black.

I did see that post #3 from tom66 he mentions about a fuse on the t-con. I checked continuity on both of the t-con boards I have and they are fine, but when I measure voltage while the TV was ON, I did not...

    Hello tom66,

    Thanks for the reply.

I forgot to mention that I have used the cables from the broken screen TV I purchased, and still nothing. I even changed the 2 flex cables from the t-con to the lcd panel.

Anyway to test the LCD panel?

    Thanks...

  • Re: samsung UN46D6050 sound but no picture

    Hello everyone,

I have tried everything I can and TV model UN46D6050TXFZA is really getting on my nerves. Like I have mentioned before, I purchased that TV and there was sound, but no picture. Luckily I purchased a broken screen TV that came with the same mainboard and t-con, the only different part was the power supply. I changed mainboard and t-con, nothing, I used one and one, nothing. I purchased a power supply online, and nothing. The smart logo is not visible, never visible, there is sound, but no picture. When you change...

  • Re: Vizio E320-A0 TV

    UPDATE:

I finally decided to take a look at the Vizio E320-A0 TV again, and this time I checked all the stickers and numbers on the board and order another board. The TV worked. So I'm guessing the previous board I had purchased was bad.
I had a hard time trying to tell the seller that his board was not working, but he finally accepted and I returned it.

    Thanks for the help...
