Re: Dell 3007WFP Crazy Picture
The bonding between the flexible circuit board and the LCD panel is lifted! Not sure if you can press it back down and make it stay down. That will make Vertical lines on the screen.Never stop learning

Re: Dell 3007WFP Crazy Picture
Thanks bud and ben for your input. The before picture is the way the screen look when my company sold it. Our customer is returning the screen because they are getting the picture that's shown on the screen at the top of this post. When they returned it the after pictures show it's condition. With the finger prints that are clearly shown on the screen and the positioning showing directly over the 2 problem areas we are guessing that the installer damaged the flex boards during installation. The customer said he had a professional come out and he told him the screen had bad chips??? Shouldn't he have noticed the 2 areas that are circled?Comment

Re: Dell 3007WFP Crazy Picture
We are not keen on double posts for the same problem pick a thread and stick to it. As you are not adding info to either thread edit the one your not using to say " Double post"
Then we need a picture of the problem before we can even guess
Use manage attachments jpg less than 3mb will upload okPlease upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell... -
by timelessHi,
I've been troubleshooting a Dell U2518 that produces no picture yet the backlight is turned on, the PSU produces 19v, It is detected over HDM and its firmware could be upgraded over USB. So to me the controller board and PSU seems (somewhat) functional.
There is however a ticking noise from the T-Con board to the left side of the RT6811 chip when power on (not when off). Also the RT6811 chip gets quite hot (cannot be touched for long) otherwise there is no physical sign of damage and everything around the board is neatly covered with plastics and does not show any...2 Photos-

by Tr0llHi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.
The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.
Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.
First replacement T-con:
I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)... -
by YellowJacketHi friends,
I am here for asking for a little help with this monitor. It reacts to pressing the power button, but the only thing I get is working back light, with no picture. I was measuring all power voltages, you can see them in attached picture. There is 3.3V on the SPI ROM chip, and I can see healthy-looking communication on it ( pin 1 is changing ) after powering on. I can see nice clock signal on both crystals. I am even able to measure some low voltage data signals on LDVDS cable. So I believe, my issue in on the panel itself. I proved it by measuring VGH1 signal on a test...4 Photos-

by F R 2568Hello all,
this is my first post, so if I make mistakes please do not hesitate to point them out, thank you in advance.
I got a Dell Latitude 5420 (Service Tag: 7RFM6D3, Motherboard: GDF40 LA-491P Rev.: 2.0 (A01)) which does not start and I want to repair it. These are the symptoms:
If the laptop is only connected to the AC adapter (battery removed):
When I press the power button, the keyboard backlight and the display backlight are turning on. Caps key light is lightning, but key does not respond to pressing it.
The power/battery... - Loading...
