Hi everyone,
I'm working on a Dell G15 5515 (Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3050 Ti) and recently installed a compatible 4-zone RGB keyboard and controller (for Dell G15 5510/5511/5515 models). While the keyboard functions for typing, the RGB lighting is not detected by Alienware Command Center (AWCC), which displays “No AlienFX devices found.”
What I've Tried So Far:- Reseated the cables.
- Reinstalled AWCC and AlienFX services.
- Attempted BIOS downgrade but no improvement.
- Inspected ribbon cables for damage.

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -
Hi, I hope someone can help me with this, my Dell G15 Ryzen Edition does not post anymore (black screen, no Windows boot, no BIOS screen) after Windows Update pushed what appears to be a buggy bios image, I've tried the following with no success:
- Receive help from Dell Support (it is out of warranty).
- Disconnect machine from AC power and battery overnight.
- BIOS recovery process
- Connected external display via HDMI

Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate...
