Hey gurus
I need help clearing the bios from a Dell G15 5515 (Ryzen Edition), la-k454p version 1, ST=1W7ZTN3, EX number 4125128655. I've done the Dell shuck-n-jive & couldn't find the S# to save me, so, no clue. There's a DP/N 8CK0N A00. And, lastly Reg Type No. P105F004. Past that I'm clueless.
I'd sure appreciate the help getting this thing unlocked & this client out of my hair.

This particular code didn't work. Still getting the "password" dance.
Is there a CMOS/BIOS chip I'm missing here? The aforementioned Winbonds control different things (1 is a APU/GPI bio, the other seems like the correct one), so I'm not sure if I'm glossing over a step or.....

Hello gentleman,
On 07/11/2024, my dell g15 5515 AMD was turned off correctly and then turned on, without success, given the equipment's LED alerts, I was able to conclude that it was BIOS, does anyone have the original or functional BIOS to help me?

I recently bought a Dell G15 5515 with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and 3060 RTX. The BIOS chip on it was dead, and my hardware guy replaced the chip. After that, everything was working fine.
The BIOS is currently at version 1.22.1, and I wanted to update it. I downloaded the latest BIOS version from Dell Support using my ST: FQZMYJ3, but when I tried to run it, it says "unsupported system." I asked my tech guy what he did, and he said he took the chip from another board and flashed it onto mine.

I'm working on a Dell G15 5515 (Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3050 Ti) and recently installed a compatible 4-zone RGB keyboard and controller (for Dell G15 5510/5511/5515 models). While the keyboard functions for typing, the RGB lighting is not detected by Alienware Command Center (AWCC), which displays “No AlienFX devices found.”
What I've Tried So Far:- Reseated the cables.
- Reinstalled AWCC and AlienFX services.

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this, my Dell G15 Ryzen Edition does not post anymore (black screen, no Windows boot, no BIOS screen) after Windows Update pushed what appears to be a buggy bios image, I've tried the following with no success:
- Receive help from Dell Support (it is out of warranty).
- Disconnect machine from AC power and battery overnight.

- Connected external display via HDMI

Sorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.
I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop.
