Dell 3007WFP LCD Monitor PSU problem.

    Hi,

    Details,
    Manufacturer: Dell LCD Monitor
    Model: 3007WFP
    Liteon PSU part#: PA-4151-1-LF REV: D
    Dell PSU part#: 6723000002P00

Click on image for larger view or use http://ompldr.org/vY2oyYw/PSU_Liteon_Dell3007LCD.jpg

I got the above image off the net but the details are still not clear enough.

Does anyone by any chance know where I can download a scematic/circuit diagram for this monitor PSU? I'm specifically interested in the details for IC100 on the bottom of the board as I have a burnt one.

Or even if you have a faulty board lying around you can read the details off the IC?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Hi I have been looking for you but only found Budm - I was going to leave a message on his photo but saw yours. Ive checked hes not a member here
, at least not as budm. He is on ifixit and I am registered to use that so have taken the liberty of asking your question in the hope that he will see it. Unfortunately they have no P.M facilities. Will keep looking

      Hi,

Much appreciated! I have also left a message for him on photobucket but dunno if he has seen it. I nicked his pic, hope he does not mind as I'm desperate.

I appreciate you looking as I have been hunting high & low via google but have not had much luck yet. I emailed Liteon but obviously they just ignored me

      Much appreciated

Hmm - how did you do that? I thought it was alphabetical?

Oh yes -retired caps can you say what the IC might be I have a catalogue and if I new what it was i might find it. I have had a quick look at 14 lead soics and none of the numbers we have jumped out at me and it might narrow the search?

                Magic.

I just searched for his name in google and added badcaps.net after it. I do remember seeing him post a few months after I started referencing his photo (mainly for bad ccfls, wiring, etc).

BTW, I didn't know about the members list feature. When I looked at it though, I noticed only 13 members listed for "B". I think the software only shows the most recent activity of "B" members which is why you didn't find budm.

PS. Please use jpg. It is much smaller and faster than bmp format and I can see a thumbnail preview with jpg whereas I can't see any preview with bmp.

In one thread where the OP couldn't find the part number, he used isopropyl alcohol to clean off the top of the IC so he could read more. I suggest doing the same to try and get more numbers/letters revealed.

The number as printed on the IC is
                    W27D723.
I am still looking for the spec sheet for this IC.

In my case the IC has big hole in it where it popped so you cannot see anything.

Thanks for that, much appreciated. Is there any manufacturers symbol on the IC at all? I see there are some other letters/numbers below the W27D723 which I can't make out.

Hope you don't mind me using your picture, it was the best one I could find.

I got another P/N of this IC used on the board with the same model number.
                        LTA201P.

                        See pictures here:

So it looks like there are more than one brand of this IC.

If you Google "LTA201P SMPS IC"
This will come up as TEA1551T:
                          http://www.alldatasheet.com/view.jsp...51T/N1(LTA201P).

                          http://www.alldatasheet.com/datashee...S/TEA1552.html

You can look at the pin out and check the board to see if the connections match the application notes of the IC.

Please keep us posted if it fixed the problem. When that IC blows up, it will usually take out the Gate drive resistor and diode and the MOSFET also.

I don't actually have the monitor, it's about 1600km from me. I'm enquiring on behalf of someone else but will keep you posted.

First got to find a local source for that IC though.

                                  Thanks again!

Follow-up, the TEA# IC will not work on ALL the version of th board that you have, need to verify the VCC pin out of your original IC first and the relate connections.

I have gone through photos from budm of this PSU and was wondering if anyone knows the values of R135 and R136. I have replaced the IC that is close to it and these two seem to have fried when I plugged it in. I may just order a new PSU for about $60 since I have no idea what I am doing.

Hello, I have a Dell 15R-5521, with the problem that the Ctrl, Alt, Shitf and Num Lock keys do not work, I tested the keyboard with a keyboard tester and it is functional, I also got another new keyboard and the computer has the same problem with the same keys. Check continuity between the ZIF connector from the keyboard to the KBC and all pins are correct. I cleaned the ZIF connector and the KBC and I still have the same problem. I reinstalled windows just in case, and it didn't work. I updated the BIOS to the latest version A16 and there were no changes.

                                          As additional information,...

Guide me through repairing a Dell p2210f LCD ccfl backlight monitor
                                          by DanPoka
I bought this p2210f dell monitor to fix. Schematic is the same as p2210.
Behaviour is that monitors comes on but then backlight switches off almost instantly. If I look with flashlight I can still find the "No signal message". So definitely a backlight issue. Trying to advance the issue I proved that the protection circuit is switching off the backlight by shorting out C3 and resistor to disable the INL chip then re enable by removing the short.
This is where it gets interesting. When I disassembled the monitor to solder leads on c3 capacitor I noticed the backlight flickered...

                                          Hello everyone,
so, I have this laptop Dell Inspiron N5110 with a heating problem on both CPU (I7-2680qm) and GPU (GT 525m), I tried many solutions, like changing thermal paste every month, using thermal pads on CPU and GPU, even using thermal pads on CPU nearby coils; but nothing worked, just minutes after booting the laptop shuts itself down so I thought it might be a short problem, so I decided to check what's going on, so I went online and some tutorial (general one) said to check inductors in order to find the shorted circuit, after checking (CPU removed), I found the culprit to be...

                                          Hello everyone,

I have been having some difficulties reviving an old Dell 2408WFPb PC monitor that I received for free. When I first acquired it, the backlights of the display were on but alas no image was showing. After extensive research on the topic, I went ahead and purchased a new t-con board for the monitor. After installing the board, I was then presented with a new screen that was half black and half green (more so black). I have been unable to figure out what to do next as I have limited knowledge of display electronics. Might anyone on this forum have an idea of what may...
