    Battery reverse rejuvenation

I use Epsom salt try to rejuvenate, no water, for Razor E100 electric scooter, 12 volts 4.5AH, totally dead, battery.

I filled it with Epson solution and I tried to charge it up with 247.4 volt DC voltage still nothing happened so I changed the polarity of the battery then it works up to 5A charging current.

My question is can the battery be used as reverse voltage, I mean black terminal is +12v and red terminal is ground?

I think, I better change it back! ASAP, but if I did not reverse the polarity, the battery won't take the change!

Isn't possible, if you want to charge of a dead battery, first is to reverse the polarity?

Yes, lead acid batteries can be charged in reverse due to its mostly symmetric design.

Don't sweat it though. The battery is already ruined.

it is a lead-acid battery why we put Epsom salt (alkaline) inside the battery? Shouldn't we put acid solution inside the battery? After we neutralizing the battery's electrolysis fluid?

        I found the answer
Lead Acid Battery Desulfation Using Epsom Salt

        -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can you put new acid in an old battery?
Most new batteries are maintenance-free, so you can't mess with the components inside. Older battery designs lose water in the electrolytea mixture of about one part sulfuric acid and two parts waterfrom evaporation. ... Charging the battery reverses the chemical reaction and restores the plates' chemistry.

The Super Secret Workings of a Lead Acid Battery Explained
        https://www.batterystuff.com/kb/arti...d-battery.html

Charging is a process that reverses the electrochemical reaction. It converts the electrical energy of the charger into chemical energy. Remember, a battery does not store electricity; it stores the chemical energy necessary to produce electricity.

A battery charger reverses the current flow, providing that the charger has a greater voltage than the battery. The charger creates an excess of electrons at the negative plates, and the positive hydrogen ions are attracted to them. The hydrogen reacts with the lead sulfate to form sulfuric acid and lead, and when most of the sulfate is gone, hydrogen rises from the negative plates. The oxygen in the water reacts with the lead sulfate on the positive plates to turn them once again into lead dioxide, and oxygen bubbles rise from the positive plates when the reaction is almost complete.

You should just put sulfuric acid in it. Just a few drops will do. No point in putting Epsom salts in it, though Epsom salts should be slightly acidic anyway (not basic).

i'm surprised you have not made your own battery yet.

btw, if your going to get the crystals & shit off the plates using chemicals or electronic pulses, you should probably flush it out afterwards and then fill it with fresh acid.

Lead acid batteries can fail due to sulphation or the plates corroding.
If the plates are shot and you give it the sulphation treatment, it will just make lots of hydrogen and waste your time.
I have never been successful reversing sulphation, electron microscope pics show the lead sulphate crystals are non-conducting and stuck in the pores of the plates. Very hard to dislodge or dissolve.

My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.

Asus E410 only works on battery after reverse polarity
                        by Kervin Mathumbu
Hi everyone. Fixed my AC and despite trying to be extra careful, I reversed polarity and got a notable pop sound. Now the PC will only work on battery. Windows still shows the battery as charging but the count actually goes down until empty (I have two of the same laptops).

I have board R3.0 so the schematics on another thread here do not match mine. I have tested the BQ charge IC and my pin 1, 2 and 3 have 3.35v each - instead of 18v or 19v. Could this be a bad BQ IC or capacitor? Any thoughtful advise sould be greatly appreciated.

                        Hello everyone,

                        Mark and model: ASUS X571
Symptoms: not turning on. There is only the LED battery indicator working. The owner of the laptop told me this problem arrived one week after having changed the battery. He then managed to power on the laptop only once, and then it never powered on again.

                        Tests already made:
                        - Battery is charging when laptop is plugged in. The LED battery indicator turns white after a couple of hours of charge, indicating that battery is fully charged. However, laptop won't turn on anyway, with or without AC plug.
                        - I have removed...

I bought a Vostro 3400 motherboard (LA-K033P) to upgrade over my damaged Inspiron 5593 (LA-J091P) board. Everything else is ok except for the battery. This battery I am using now is already a replacement one since I disposed of the bloated original one. Back in the Inspiron 5593 motherboard, the battery charges fine and is identified just fine. However, with the upgraded motherboard, suddenly the replacement battery is labeled as "Not a dell battery". When I borrow a similar battery from my colleague (which did not have replacements yet), it is identified and charges just fine.

                        by Dev Goose
Hi everyone, I recently acquired an HP EliteBook 840 G4 (6050A2854301-MB-A01) that I'm hoping to bring back to life. I'm fairly new to laptop repairs but eager to learn and willing to put in the effort to understand and fix this. Any advice or guidance would mean a lot!

                        What Happened
The issue started when the laptop was accidentally plugged in with reverse polarity. Before this incident, the laptop would show a power/charging light whenever it was plugged in. However, now it's completely unresponsive—no lights, no power, nothing. I've been doing some research and understand
