Hi there, I wonder if I could still repair the BIOS of my old Inspiron 5570 laptop? BIOS was bricked after setting DDR4-2666 (Originally, DDR4-2400) using UEFITool ([url]https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/comments/fzv599/comment/g03uxxk/[/url]). Tried to reprogram the chip but it needed to be desoldered. Unfortunately, I damaged the chip's legs and board's solder pads because I didn't have proper tools back then. I already lost BIOS chip now, so no BIOS dump. But exploring if it can still be restored, before I conclude the board is totaled.

I am on 1.25.0 bios, and I cannot update to 1.26.0 anymore since it wants 10% battery but for some reason it can't identify my full charged battery.
I observed that for a few seconds after shutting down, I get 0v on the battery socket and then back to 12.4v...Leave a comment:

Vostro 3400 (LA-K033P) won't charge battery, everything else ok
I bought a Vostro 3400 motherboard (LA-K033P) to upgrade over my damaged Inspiron 5593 (LA-J091P) board. Everything else is ok except for the battery. This battery I am using now is already a replacement one since I disposed of the bloated original one. Back in the Inspiron 5593 motherboard, the battery charges fine and is identified just fine. However, with the upgraded motherboard, suddenly the replacement battery is labeled as "Not a dell battery". When I borrow a similar battery from my colleague (which did not have replacements yet), it is identified and charges just fine.

Well, my LCD is no longer the original since the original was damaged. But this screen has been working fine with me for over 2 years now, and yes this has been tested and was working on another laptop with 30-pin eDP. I have the schematics here but I couldn't find a boardview for my board. (not even in vinafix). I think main power is good since it lights up on the LCD self test, but no display output, again, just backlight on. I'll check voltage on the other pins for the edp connector and see what's...Leave a comment:

Which specific pins should I check? I have the schematics but I can't find a boardview anywhere for this specific motherboard. One specific pin captures my attention though. LCD_CBL_DET. The onboard diagnostics somehow doesnt recognize the LCD cable, but my microphone and webcam works fine. Also, since the display backlight is on during Built in LCD self test but has no display and just a blank screen, possibly an LCD signal problem?

Hi everyone, I have a Dell Inspiron 5593 motherboard with i7-1065g7 and mx230. I recently had an issue with my motherboard flashing 2 amber 7 white (LCD Failure). The LCD is working fine since it works when installed on another laptop. EDP/LVDS cable has been replaced and I am confident it is working since when I try to run the BIST, it opens up the backlight only but no display (A different LCD would only show white screen). The laptop is working fine though. It just has no display on the built in LCD but it has display output through HDMI cable, which points me to a board level problem. Tried... -
