Vostro 3400 (LA-K033P) won't charge battery, everything else ok

I bought a Vostro 3400 motherboard (LA-K033P) to upgrade over my damaged Inspiron 5593 (LA-J091P) board. Everything else is ok except for the battery. This battery I am using now is already a replacement one since I disposed of the bloated original one. Back in the Inspiron 5593 motherboard, the battery charges fine and is identified just fine. However, with the upgraded motherboard, suddenly the replacement battery is labeled as "Not a dell battery". When I borrow a similar battery from my colleague (which did not have replacements yet), it is identified and charges just fine.

I temporarily resorted to taking apart the laptop every time and then moving the charging port and battery into the old board and charging it bare from there, since that's the only way I can charge it. However, recently the old board started refusing the charge the battery, and I got it accidentally run down to the point the new board wont even turn on anymore on battery power. Tried to charge the battery cells directly charged from 3.1v up to 4.1v each but still it is being reported as 0%. The battery I am using is a YRDD6. I also tried using the replacement WDX0R from my dead Inspiron 5570, which was a backup for my old 5593 board, but it was also identified as "Not a dell battery", even though laptop uses it no problem, provided battery had power. Both batteries got discharged to 0%, but I revived them both now, though still no joy

Is there any way I can somehow trick the laptop into thinking my replacement battery is a dell battery? Or at least make it use either battery, which is obviously fully charged now? Or is it really the case that if these batteries reach a critically low voltage, the BMS disconnects the battery permanently and will not re-connect even if you re-charge the cells directly? I would like to rule out the battery is really not usable anymore before I start wasting my time trying to find a 3rd party "dell" battery which my laptop will identify and charge properly.

I checked voltage on battery socket, with battery connected, I get 12.4v on pin 8-10, and 3.3v on pin 6-7 for both batteries. I got their voltages within 4.1v per cell.

Update the bios to the latest and test again.

I am on 1.25.0 bios, and I cannot update to 1.26.0 anymore since it wants 10% battery but for some reason it can't identify my full charged battery.

I observed that for a few seconds after shutting down, I get 0v on the battery socket and then back to 12.4v

I would suggest to seek out a known compatible battery for this model of laptop to test again. The BMS may not be compatible with this laptop.

I don't recommend it as a power failure will brick the BIOS, but you can generally force update without battery using the BIOS Update utility in the UEFI Boot Menu and passing the "/forceit" parameter. I don't really see why that would fix the problem of incompatible battery though.

I managed to get these details for the battery with HWInfo.

            General Properties
            Device Name: DELL CYMGM68
            Manufacturer Name: Samsung SDI
            Serial Number: 2322
            Unique ID: 2322Samsung SDIDELL CYMGM68
            Chemistry: Lithium Ion
            Designed Capacity: 41998 mWh
            Full Charged Capacity: 37894 mWh
            Wear Level: 9.8 %

            Current Power Status
Power Status: Critical On AC Power
            Current Capacity: 0 mWh (0.0 %)
            Current Voltage: 12.123 V

For some reason the battery reports 0% even though the voltage is about 12v, full charge territory since battery was rated to 11.4v. Battery was fine and can be recharged just fine using my 5593 board but after the deep discharge, it just keeps saying 0% even if it is fully charged. Is this because the IC in the BMS locked out the battery from further use? Also, after the discharge, the 5593 board refuses to boot with this battery anymore, or maybe I guess that board's MOSFETs finally gave in

Dell Vostro 3400 battery does not charge beyond 55%
              by MahmoudNasser
              Hello,
I have a Dell Vostro 3400 battery does not charge beyond 55%

I tried another file... the battery charge exceeded 55%, but it entered manufacturing mode and it did not count from it.
              - I rebuilt the basic BIOS and Clear Me, but without results
What if the same situation does not charge the battery more than 55%?
              Can someone help me?

The original BIOS file is attached

How can I charge that battery pack?
              by razenxd
              Hello,
it's not a laptop/desktop related question but I figured that someone here will have the right knowledge.
At work we use a few Aldebaran(now Softbank/United Robotics group) Nao Robots which they use some custom 6S li-on battery packs.
Nao robots tends to draw from the battery even if they are shut down, and the BMS tends to be a little aggresive, if the pack stays on a turned off robot for 3 months it's gonna lock and will refuse to charge.

Now, I have noticed a few things.
The "dead" battery, while connected to charger and NOT Charging will...

Acer a515-43 low battery charge voltage
              by ruletero
              Hi

              Acer A515-43
              LA-H801P

Fail: Does not charge battery, has low voltaje on connector.

Laptop didn't want to turn on, only charge led blinked.

I found PQB5 (mosfet high battery charger) in short, voltaje in +12.6V_BATT was 19 v ...

I changed it, changed PQB6 too and now battery charger voltage is 4.4V but battery is 3 cell, 11.25v, then is very low to charging.

Laptop turns on without battery and works fine, but with battery turns on and turns off inmediately, I suspect battery bad but I don't know...

Charge a L19D3PDA battery externally from the laptop
              by Klevjetack
Is there a way to externally charge a L19D3PDA battery from the laptop. I have a broken charging port on my laptop and am trying to find a way to charge the battery for it. I have been doing some research and I have found that there is a module, TP4056, that can be used to charge Li-ion batteries. It says it is used to charge single cell Li-ion batteries. The L19D3PDA battery is a three cell battery. Is it possible to use the module to charge my battery and it would just be very slow? Or would that be a bad idea. Is there a different kind of module I can use to charge my Li-ion three cell battery?...
