    Cap question

    Hello all I need some info I have posted to photos of two caps the green is the defunct cap the black is the so called replacement,but different size,can it be used.

          You go by uf and voltage not the temperature get a good make replacement for example 100uf 16v you can go higher on voltage not on the uf

              it may work, but cant say for sure without a datasheet.

                i brought some of those sd caps from ebay a couple of years ago, they lasted about 6 weeks on a tv inverter circuit before failing again, try and find a Panasonic replacement if i was you.

                    In the first picture you can see the polarity stripe on both caps. And yes it will work, for how long... Let us know. Or use a name brand like Panasonic if you are worried.

                      A good 99% of the caps sold on eBay are either cheap no-name junk like this or counterfeits of big-name brands like Nichicon, Chemicon, and Sanyo/Suncon. Just get some caps from one of the big online component distributors (RS, Farnel, Mouser, Digikey, Badcaps.net, or even member Behemot here).

                      Go with either Panasonic (as suggested above), Nichicon, Rubycon, or United Chemicon and skip the drama of wondering why the device you fixed with those crap caps is broken again.
