So retest the IR OUT at pin 1 of the connector again, ground point is still at the GND as marked.
I found board layout for TNPA5915 which is basically the same board layout as TNPS61010, I found out by searching where TNPA6010 is used in.
    See updated pictures and schematic.
    Ok budm
    connected=OL
    not connected=168
For clarity,I tested at the actual test point and not at the actual pin.
Let me know if this makes a difference.

    Sorry budm
I have no idea what happened before.
Now I am getting 000.4 in both instances.
Plug disconnected from the socket yes.
Just to be clear what I am doing,,one probe is on the IR out test point circled and the other is on the ground side of the capacitor also circled.
    Is this the correct procedure.?

BTW, just to be sure, the resistance testing is done without TV plugging into the AC outlet, correct?

Can we see good clear pictures of the whole back side of the TV showing all the board?
Also good clear straight shot of the whole main board top and bottom side and also closed up around the connector that goes to the IR Receiver module K board TNPA6010.
BTW the IR receiver module pin 2 is the IR out, need to verify if it is also pin 2 on the main board goes to pin 2 of the IR receiver board.

Need to find the schematic of the main board for your TV, so far I cannot find service manual for your TV model.
You can trace out the IR out pin on the main board to see where it goes to, it can be as simple as shorted MLCC.

Everything else seems to work so may be worth trying to fix with general guidance.?
    Possible.?

    Ok,
    Any obvious areas to check?

Check the resistance between IR Out and GND with board connected and not connected.

I think so, seems that they go bad first.

    Hi yes,
so im thinking since the voltages do NOT change at all, then this specifically suggests the ir chip is faulty at least.?

At 10 bucks or less, people usually just grab one from ebay or someplace, I would try to fix it if I was doing it for myself, just for the hobby aspect of it.
Based on the static voltage results in the test suggested by budm, would you say the sensor is the issue.?
I have seen alot of 3 pin ir sensors but not the 4 pin types.Would these need to be salvaged.?

If the problem is the actual IR 4 leg chip.?
    Can that not be changed.?
