Re: Vizio M651d-A2R won't turn on

The only voltage I am getting at vled is the 24v coming from power board. The 2 cables from the power board go to those connectors on the led driver board. I was able to get it to come on and work by holding power button down but that's not working now.

Re: Vizio M651d-A2R won't turn on

So the CN5 of the LED driver board goes to the T-CON board, correct?
You will get only 24V if the Boost converter circuit does not get the BL-ON signal.

If we are talking about the plug with all red wires it does go to t-con. Thanks Michael

Does the BL signal come from the main board or is there some more troubleshooting I can do?

So what Voltages do you have now at the power board connector that goes to the main board?

I am still confused about CN202 pinout for BL-ON/OFF, you have pin 11 and 12 as BL-ON.
              https://assets.shopjimmy.com/media/c...00.061-top.jpg

Pin 12 is the only BL-ON pin, so what do you have on pin 12 when you turn on the TV?

11 is not labeled. 12 is bl_on/off. SEE 11 there's no line there.

I can check tonight, would inserting 3v on that pin fry something?

So still no startup but with it plugged in 11 is .865 and 13 is .165. Here is the pin out on the led driver. Which shows pins 11 and 12. The processor is hot to touch were you can't leave your finger on it.

Hornnumb2... you need to "re-read" / check the tables that you posted for CN202 and CN101 on the main board... something isn't right.... that is some of what the "confusion" is I think. First, the cn101 has 15 pins but you only list 12. CN202 has 14 pins on only one at pin 12 for BL-ON.... at least from the shopjimmy card. Is there some card difference here? In the post above mine, you are referring the "led driver board" but I think most are asking / talking about the main board. Further, one of the pins on cn101 is "important"... lamp-error

If you look at the Led driver board, CN5, you will see it requires BL_CLK, BL_DATA, BL_YDIO, PWM etc. signals from the main board, You need a scope to see if you have those signals. This is not a simple turn the backlight on and off tv

Would a cheap scope on eBay work for this, does it need to be a certain MHz?

I can get it to turn on holding down power button for 30 seconds,
Did you get a picture on the screen? did you have backlights? so why don't you use that method to turn on the tv and check the voltages going to each led string on CN3 and CN4?

Ok been out there messing with it some more. When I plug it in and get the white ir to come on and fade out. It will start up. Then I get these voltages.
                                      CN101
                                      13) 3.29 instead of .837
                                      14) 2.71 instead of .165
                                      15) .157 instead of 3.27
Those translate over to the CN202 also. I get 62.5 on VLED when working.

Disconnect the tvs power cord from the power outlet and leave it unplugged. Then press and hold the power button on the TV for 20 seconds.

After you have held the button for 20 seconds, let go then try to power the TV on.

                                            Hi All,

I am having an issue with my Vizio M65-C1 where it does not turn on. When I plug it in the stand by light on bottom left of screen turns on (white) then fades away. If I press the power button it turn back on and then fades until it is super dim.

When I remove cover, there are no illuminated leds on the main board, I've seen others with a red/blue led that turns on.

I've done some research and what is interesting is my voltages all seem slightly different from other people. For example +5/3.5v is 3.48V when on which is different from others on here....

Hello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. So i thought maybe lcd stripe is faulty, i removed the bottom cover, disconnected main battery, reset the cmos by disconnecting battery for 1 min, then slighty move the lcd stripe. Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on. Removed power supply, waited...

I have a Vizio M70-D3 4K with a dark spots backlight issue. It is using the Y8387248A backlight driver board.

On this model each of the 64 transistor powers 2 LEDs. Using my TKDMR TD3H backlight tester I've determined that the backlight LED strips were the issue, and the backlight driver board was just fine. Some LED pairs required 5.9 volt at 155mA, some required 9.5 volt and some were completely open.

I've removed the LCD panel and once the LED strips were exposed I've tested them again by connecting my LED tester directly on the test pads. To my surprise all, I've...

                                            To all the members here...

Let me tell you a little bit about what happened to my laptop (MSI GF63 THIN 11UCX model: MS-16R6) that “maybe” you know how to solve this problem.

So before this problem happened, my laptop was running smoothly. When I wanted to restart my laptop, it looked fine at first. But after I waited for this restart process to take a long time, until finally I panicked (because the restart process did not finish plus the laptop screen only showed a black screen), I immediately pressed and held the power button to force the laptop to turn off. But...

Acer Aspire 4520 won't turn on after reboot
                                            by robante15
Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 4520 from a couple of decades ago and I want to repair it solely for nostalgia.

It happens that when I turn it on after having been disconnected for a long time, it turns on without problems, it tells me that the BIOS has been reset and that it will load the factory settings, if I tell it to continue, the computer turns on and everything works fine.

The moment I turn it off and want to turn it back on a second time, or restart it and try to start it again, it no longer gives an image, and it no longer responds.

                                            If I remove the...
