  • Tomorrow I will try to measure all the sources and the PGOOD, if that does not work I will have to give up.

  • In order to perform maintenance on this equipment, the battery must be removed, so I don't think that's where the damage comes from
Yes, when removing the screen it keeps turning off at exactly the same moment

Regarding DRAMRST# and PLTRST_CPU# I am attaching captures from the oscilloscope, the first is DRAMRST#, both are from the moment the equipment is turned on, until it turns off by itself

    Regarding the PGOOD, I haven't measured them all, but I have VCC_CORE, VCCSA, 1.2V_DDR, 3V, 5V, GPU_CORE...

  • DELL G5 5587 LA-E993P Power on, but no video

I have a DELL G5 5587 LA-E993P here that after a maintenance process (changing thermal paste, thermal pads, and general cleaning) turns on for a few seconds, but just before showing video it turns off.
When connecting it to the power source it indicates normal consumption, and when pressing the power button the fans spin to maximum, and after a few seconds it turns off.
I can see that the screen turns on the backlight for a fraction of a second and then turns off along with the entire computer, and the boot process restarts.

If I remove the RAM then it shows color codes...

  • Just for the record.
I managed to repair the graphics card by replacing that integrated LS3018NG (Q7), searching the schematic I realized that there is another one exactly the same that controls the voltage of the USB-C that the graphics card has, so I removed that integrated, and replaced it with the defective Q7 .

I have not tested the USB-C on the card since I do not use it, but if there is no replacement, such a repair may be viable.
For my part, I will order that component through Aliexpress to make the USB-C functional again.

  • Did you manage to solve that problem?
The same thing is happening to me, in Q7 I have your same values

  • Acer Aspire 4520 won't turn on after reboot

Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 4520 from a couple of decades ago and I want to repair it solely for nostalgia.

It happens that when I turn it on after having been disconnected for a long time, it turns on without problems, it tells me that the BIOS has been reset and that it will load the factory settings, if I tell it to continue, the computer turns on and everything works fine.

The moment I turn it off and want to turn it back on a second time, or restart it and try to start it again, it no longer gives an image, and it no longer responds.

    If I remove the...

Hello, I have in my hands an HP EliteBook 1040 G4 (DA0Y0UMBAD0 REV: D) that makes no attempt to turn on, display an image or anything.

I took out the BIOS and flashed one that I found in a forum for this model, and on the first boot it did give a power LED, it showed an image, but I got two HP screens, the first one said:

"Final step of BIOS update is in progress.", after that it turned off and turned on again this time showing the following warning "The BIOS has recovered its identity data from the Embedded Controller due to data mismatch."

  • Re: Epson PowerLite Presenter L 3 Red LED's Flashing

    The projector model is H319A

The problem arises even a few seconds after turning it on, the lamp has not even heated up to be a temperature problem....

Of course, no problem. What type of photos would be necessary?

From the projector itself, from the projector board, or from the three lights flashing red?

  • Epson PowerLite Presenter L 3 Red LED's Flashing

Hi, I have an old Epson PowerLite Presenter L.

I have the following problem, when I turn it on it starts up normally, the image works correctly, after a while (it can be a couple of minutes, up to hours) it turns off and the 3 LED lights flash red (Temperature, Lamp and Power).

The 5 fans included in this equipment work correctly, I maintained them and verified their correct operation.

I also read somewhere else that it could be caused by cold solder on the connectors, so I put new solder on them and the problem persists.

    I can't find...

    Acer Aspire 5 - FH5AT LA-K093P

Hi, I'm looking for the BIOS for an Acer Aspire 5 model A514-54

The problem is that after a blue screen during a Windows update, it did not return to give an image on the screen, although it turns on and has consumption.

Hello, yes I have the schematic, thanks
What I didn't find was the boardview anywhere, I assume it doesn't exist for that board

That's why I was asking if anyone knew a method to identify the resistors

Or if someone has done this procedure on that plate and can guide me...

  • DAG94AMB8D0 DIS to UMA

Hello, I have an HP 15-cd005la, DAG94AMB8D0 Rev D, Model G94A that has a dedicated graphics card that is already giving problems.
I want to convert it from DIS to UMA, I have not found more information or videos about it according to this model.

I only found information in a Russian forum that says that you have to change the resistance of the BOARD ID0 from "1" to "0"
According to the schematic, the BOARD ID0 actually selects whether it is Discrete or UMA, and corresponds to the R68 and R69.

The problem is that I don't have any schematics,...

It also doesn't turn on the fan, nor the keyboard LED. But it does charge the battery.

And yes, the behavior is the same as with other files...

    Thinkpad E480 BIOS Dump

    I have a Thinkpad E480. Type 20KN-003ULM

The problem it presents is that it turns on the power LED light but it never gives video. Last time it worked I left it on and unplugged. It probably discharged and never turned on again. What I found out is that a Firmware update came out that day, I would believe it was attempted to update and ended up with a corrupted BIOS update.

I have tried with other DUMP bios from other posts and they have not worked for me. Here I leave a backup of my non-functional BIOS, I hope someone can help me with my problem.
    From now,...
