No Screen or Sound on 32 in ELEMENT ELEFW392

    Hello All,
Been a while since I have posted or tried to fix anything. I have an Element 32 in, plug it in it gets a standby light. When you press the ON button, the indicator turns blue but there is no screen or sound. Fooled around with the buttons and plugged in a few sources to be sure, nothing. The single red and white wire above the line of capacitors is getting 52-56 V. Im guessing from the routing and the Voltage that is the power to the backlight. This one was a donation and the little main board is cheap, so if it is a main board issue I will just replace. But if i can narrow it to a backlight or a Tconn I think it may be recycling material. Let me know what you think.

It seems like a backligt issue, place your meter probes across the red and white wires on that plug, then turn on the tv and see if the voltage gets to around 80 volts or more.
That 52~56v is the base voltage, it will get boosted when first turend on, but if it sees an open circuit it will drop back to the base voltage.

So off voltage hangs in the mid 40s when turned on after a second or so it shoots up to 110 - 115v then steps back down to around 58.5v and stays there.

The LED driver is not seeing the load that is why the Voltage went up over 100V, you have open circuit some where in the LED string.

I have really only messed with power supplies etc. on these things. So I am guessing I might be getting into non-serviceable territory on the LED lamps. Is there parts out there?

Been watching videos on this repairs and someone tested the strips and removed a faulty led and did a pass through with some soldering. Is +/- 3v going to effect the Main Board or the other LEDs? Im sure this isnt the preferred fix but honestly this TV was free and I have no need for it so I might give it a try.

Can use diodes in series so the Vf will be about 3v.

You may be able to bypass ONE LED but not more than that if more than one LED is bad, it will over heat the PWM MOSFET that maintain the constant current through the LED string when LED's are bypassed, when you the LED's you must reduce the Backlights level to as low as possible (it should be done any way).
