After close inspection of the inverter board, I do not see any error feedback pin on the inverter board to tell the monitor to go into shutdown due to error on the inverter board.
Please check the Voltages on that CN801 connector when it is working and when it goes into shutdown.
Also look at the bottom side of the inverter board around the inverter transformer to see if it has any sign of over heating.
I am assuming you mean CN701 Budm?

here are the voltages when the power is on:

CN701 power supply Board voltages while On

    5v - 5.066
    5v - 5.066
    GND - 0
    GND12v_OUT - 12.25
    PWR_OFF - 5.611
    GND - 0
    3.3V - 3.428
    3.3V - 3.428
    LCD_ON - 2.991

Just waiting for shutdown to do off readings will post in a few mins
I hope I'm on the right connector

+10, again just be careful what you touch on inverter, potentially DEADLY voltage.

Ah Found CN801 on the inverter board here are the voltages while power is on:

        LCD_ON - 2.992
        3.3V - 3.428
        3.3V - 3.428
        GND - 0
        GND - 0
        12V - 12.14
        12V -12.4

Just awaiting shutdown to give you the next set of readings.

Being very careful tnx for the reminder.

It seems to be taking longer to go into shutdown with the cover off

You have two column of pins, how about the right column where you have LCD_BR (backlights brightness), 5V_AUD?

unsure where I need to probe to get this second set of voltages is I think I can see the second set but they are right under the first set and my DM probe would touch the first column of pins while trying to read can I take the reading from the area marked in red on pic attached

Maybe, measure the second one down if it's 5 instead of 3 volts, then it's the other row.

It's difficult to get the probe into the connector where the wires enter the connector on the rear set of cables

Measure the pins you highlighted in red, right from the top.

You need the skinny probe to probe from the wire entrance side of the connector.
At this point do not worry about it yet about the second column.
Left column you report are for the ODD number pins. I.E. pin 13 is for LCD_ON
Right column is for the EVEN number pins. I.E. pin 14 is for LCD_BR

The monitor has now gone into shutdown these are the readings while in shut down on the pins marked in the previous picture from top to bottom
                        1 - 2.993
                        2 - 3.428
                        3 - 3.427
                        4 - 0
                        5 - 0
                        6 - 12.14
                        7 -12.16

Seems like this set of pins is connected to the top column which I can reach fro the opposite side too

Ok this is strange the monitor is still in shutdown as in no Green status light on the front panel or input indicator lights but I can see the backlight is on. This is new behaviour. prior to this if the green power light was off the backlight would also be off

use other source to feed the monitor direct as stand alone. such android box or mini pc try different resolution to narrow the timing of shit down . i think this behavior are signal shut down.

we said give it source as stand alone with different resolution.. to know which resolution will hold it on long time in case its signal shut down. this is test.. to narrow issue

Can remove the Blackmagic output box and feed the monitor directly from a laptop via HDMI at different resolutions and report back the findings.

                                        Tnx.

This is new behaviour. prior to this if the green power light was off the backlight would also be off
It went into sleep/standby mode due to no video signal detected. LCD_ON signal should also go away to turn off the backlight during sleep/standby mode.

Normally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow. But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though. I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

Hi community! Germany calling I am wondering if you guys can help me out. I have an issue with my Sony LED TV. I've been told this is a good place to ask. Thanks for anyone who will reply and offer advice. Appreciated!

I have a KD-65X9005A Sony 4k LED TV. For a few weeks I've got this problem where I turn on the TV and within a few seconds the TV starts getting darker until it shuts itself off and I get the 4 blinking error code. HOWEVER there is one exception: Whenever I switch to the i-Manual, a full screen on-screen instruction manual, the TV never turns off. I tested for hours!...

                                            Hello there, helpful forum people!

I am in the process of fixing an old (ca. 1990) Sony BVM1410PM CRT monitor and need some help. The PSU board of this monitor had failed and I had to replace quite a few capacitors and other parts but now - with my limited knowledge - I ran into a wall.

On the board there is a coil choke that has failed (tested with inductance meter) and I don´t know what to replace it with. According to the device´s service manual the part in question is a "Coil, Choke 525 uH (Sony P/N: 1-459-643-11)".

                                            The original part...

                                            Hello Badcaps Community,

I purchased a preowned AOC monitor that is not working and out of warranty. It was sold as not working. I am looking for guidance on self-repair. In particular, I am after the firmware for the monitor. At the end, I have included monitor model information and links to pics and vids of the issue.

The problem is that it will not display a picture on any of its inputs. And the on-screen menu does not appear. The power button works properly. It powers on with the remote as well. But the on-screen menu does not appear, even when not connected to any...

                                            Hi Everyone

Lately I am experiencing the deja-vu incident on one of the led monitor like this.
                                            https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...lashing-on-off

The monitor is HP 27es LED Monitor

The monitor will randomly blackout and display no signal and will recover again.
Sometimes need to power and off again to restore the display but...
