Hay all. I picked up a vizio p602ui b3. When first plugged in the power light would come on then fade out. Pressing power button the light came on for about 10 sec. Then go out. No backlight.nothing. After reading a lot of post I read one that said try disconnecting the Wi-Fi. I did and removed the card. Plugged set back. Power light came on then faded out. Few sec later light came back on with backlight. Screen was dark with "no single" in middle. Shortly after started going weird. Bright to dim spots moving all over and fat lines from top to bottom also fading in and out and moving from top to bottom sort a like movie reel. Unplugged and reconnected Wi-Fi. Plugged back up and got same on screen. Pushing menu button will brighten up that side only. The screen is always changing. Is this a bad display.

Re: vizio p602ui b3
:-( looks like someone was "washing windows" and the "wash water" got into the bottom area of the panel where the boards are. You can look at where the tab cables are connected to the panel to check for signs of "contamination" to confirm.Comment

Re: vizio p602ui b3
I removed back bezel and loosened the front half of bezel to see the bottom boards "buffer" I see no water damage.no corrosion. This weird picture only starts showing after tv has been on several minutes. When first powered on. Backlight lights up then goes off.then lights up with the words "no signal" but not always. Sometimes the words fade in and out.Comment

Is the Vizio logo affected when the set is turned on or does it show 100% every time?Comment

Re: vizio p602ui b3
I know alot times with lines in display it's usually bad tab,but never seen the lines scroll. If it's not panel then there's something wrong with tcon or main? Would the driver board cause this problem.Comment

Re: vizio p602ui b3
disconnect, one at a time, the tcon to panel cables (while power off)... there are four. What is the resulting picture (post a picture). This may tell you more. Still... with the "black blotches", it is very likely there is significant "driving" issues.Comment

Re: vizio p602ui b3
I will do that. I was actually thinking about that and decided to hook up video source. As of now I have to use RCA jacks. When I plugged in video jack I noticed the screen got a little brighter. When I plugged in audio I had sound. The picture was there but very bad. So I turned tv off to put back on base. Now it's black screen with no signal in middle.but fades in and out. Does this tell you anything.Comment

Re: vizio p602ui b3
First pic. On pin 15 The plug from power board to main board. "T_CON_ON" I'm reading little over 3v. Do you know if that is right. In the next two pics of driver board. Is C359 a fuse or cap? Reads 12v on one side and 0 on the other. The last two pic is after I cleaned all the ribbon cables from T_CON to panel. I was able get wi-fi connected and loaded youtube. best picture so far. As you can see in menu pic. some is faded out also you cant tell which item is lit up to select. I think its the main board not sure. Thanks for any helpComment

Re: vizio p602ui b3
I don't think the pictures are the "same". One shows the "no sig" text while the other shows nothing when it should be the "other half" of the text. My guess would be something with the panel on that side and NOT a main board problem.Comment

Re: vizio p602ui b3
After reading several posts about tearing off the side driver tabs, I have to ask do you remove the tabs on both sides? With nothing to lose I thought I would try. If my panel is bad where is the best place to try and sell the boards.Comment

Re: vizio p602ui b3
As advised in other threads, take it SLOWLY, the operation is not reversible, ONLY one side is removed, make sure of your problem, will not fix a mainboard or tcon or powerboard problem.Last edited by nomoresonys; 12-09-2018, 04:17 PM.Comment

Are the lines horizontal, across as __ or vertical up and down as || ? I know it seems like a silly question but some folks gets it mixed up, lol.Last edited by nomoresonys; 12-09-2018, 04:30 PM.Comment

Re: vizio p602ui b3
Unfortunately we are seeing a lot of bad panel problems in the P series Vizio's which just disgust's me with Vizio because they lead you to believe that this is the top of the line series and then they put cheap defective panels in them. Mostly in the P502ui-b1 and P602ui-b2 models and a few of the P652ui-b2. I don't recommend anyone buy Vizio Tv's because of the trash they spew out.Comment

Re: vizio p602ui b3
We just had another batch of these Vizio P-602ui-B2 come in from a large retail vendor and here is what we are finding. We have never seen a power supply or a t-con issue with this model. 80% of the issues are Main Video Board issue's and 20% were the "black cloud of death" panel failure's which will look a cloudy white usually on the left side and black blotchy on the right. Reflowing the chip if done right is usually the remedy. We have also never seen a backlight issue on this set and it has a very nice picture but the consumer shelf life is terrible on this model. If you have a M60-C3 main you can use it to test with but the backlight circuit is different so it might look like a backlight out on the left. Most of these came in to honor the one year warranty which pisses me off since the P(Pitiful) series was the top of the line. And now we have the new V(vomit)series. Nice picture but time will tell. Here is a picture of what you usually see when it's panel failure.

Hello Everyone!
I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 laptop. I generally leave it on for long time by closing down its lid (so it enters the sleep mode). Recently, it rained quite heavily in out area. And the humidity and moisture seem to be high. So one late evening, after I opened the lid and turned on the laptop, it did power on as the blue light turned on but after it booted to the desktop screen, just 5-10 seconds after both the screen and blue light went out and laptop shut down (the blue power light turned orange). And after 2-4 seconds that orange light went off and the laptop died....06-28-2025, 02:57 PM -
by x_orange90_xI have a Vizio E550i-A0 that will not power on. It also does not display the standby light in the corner. I disconnected the main board cable to see if the backlights would light but they did not (maybe this is normal for this set?). I checked the voltages on the plug and they all read in mV or 0, so there's no voltage there. The fuses are ok, and the voltages of the 450v caps read about 160v. I see no visual damage on either the power supply or main board. I have read online that the main board is usually the culprit in this model, but not getting backlights with the main disconnected makes me...

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....-

by sam_sam_samI have a Lithonia Lighting 65-Watt Gray Hardwired Compact Fluorescent
I also have back when Light of America had these light bulbs available for yard lights
The issue with Light of America was the blast boards had all most certain board failure while bulbs hardly ever fail
While the Lithonia lighting fixture has all most certain bulb failure
So I have modified the Lithonia lighting fixture to accept the Light of America light bulb and see how long this will last
I have only had this light fixture for not more than a year if it... - Loading...
