  • Re: Wifi signal

Not looking for gadgets was just wanting to know if its possible. All smart TVs I've been into. Only have a small piece of metal at the end of antenna wire. So could that wire be extended to the outside, maybe connected to an Ariel antenna or simply to so aluminum foil to pick up better. any thoughts will be appreciated.

    Wifi signal

Hay. Not sure if This post is in the right place but here it is. My neighbor said I can use his wifi. The signal is weak. I assume it's because of the distance. Approximately 150 feet. Also there are other open wifi but are weak also. Is it possible to extend the antenna wire out of the tv to the outside to a antenna to improve signal strength.

Hay everyone. Working on Visio E322VL. Could someone tell me where the eeprom is located and number, is it U18,U21? . My Board number is 3632-1312-0150-3B . Would it be under the tin square cover. There is a U21 top left side of board with chip number 49536M A09614.

I was thinking the Power board. But wanted to get someone else's thoughts with experience. Thanks Budm for replying. When I looked up the "151" board, showed it was for m551d-a2r. I knew then the 161 was the same. Thanks again.have a safe 4th

  • VIZIO M551D-A2 completely dead

Can someone tell me which board has failed, power or main. Its a vizio m551d-a2, ver. LWJJOJBP2202120. There is no sign of life. No standby light, "nothing" Voltages on connector to main board are. Pin 1-5vsb=5.10v,pin 2-5vsb=5.10v, pin 3-ac off det.=3.27v, pin 4-pson=3.10v, 5&6 GND=0v, pin 7-5v nc=0v, pin 8-5v nc=0v, 9&10-GND=0v, pin 11-reg 12v=0v, pin12-reg 12v=0v, don't know what pin 13 and 15 are labeled but 13 reads 0v, 15 reads .61v, The connector just above is labeled reg 12v and reads 0v on both pins. Across the big capacitor reads 389.6v. No change pressing the power...

I messed up somewhere. I think I missed a pinvsync?

Thanks for your patience. I see and under stand about the connector, thanks for pointing that out. I still think something else happened. Ok, here's what I got just plugging in tv.

  • Re: hisense 55r63

I thought I did. what I posted was voltages right after plugging in tv. I then had the positive lead on pin marked pwr on and predded the power button. there was a 10 sec. long beep. after that the only pins showing volts was the two pins marked 3.5 with read 3.5. I don't know what happened. I assume something shorted out on power board. Also I don't hear a relay clicking on power board anymore. Before it would click when ever tv was plugged in. also before when tv was plugged in the power button would light up and when it was pressed, button light goes out ,then...

    sin error = 0 , 12v =12.47 , 12v = 12.47 , 12v =12.47 , gnd = 0 , gnd = 0 , 3.5v = 3.5 , 3.5v = 3.5 , gnd = 0 , gnd = 0 , 20v =20.46 , pwr on =3.5 I then had my test lead on the pwr on pin and hit the power button. I got a long beep about 10 sec. lost 3.5v and power button went out. I unplugged tv then plugged back in. now the only voltages I get is 3.5 on the two 3.5 pins. WTH!

Ill check PB number and post pics. I didn't do flashlight but did unplug main, no difference. the backlights are not the usual strips. I will post pics. This is a new kind of beast to me. I wont be able to post pics till tomorrow. But here is the name and number on strips if you want to look them up. HOUSING 3360L-0349A There is 66 led's on one strip. Two strips on top and two strips on bottom. Im not sure what voltage to apply to test. !2v did nothing. also I tried 3v on several single led's , nothing.

hoping someone can give me some direction. working on a hisense model 55r6e. I believe there is a backlight issue, as in no backlight. Have not worked on these type of back lights. I assume there called edge lite? There are 4 sets 2 at top and 2 at bottom. ledger on power board labeled for cable to main has 3 pins at 12v. I assume its for the backlights? All voltages on pb are there and seem to be correct. When I probe the leads going to backlights { there are 4}it reads 124v. after removing 2 sets of the backlights and testing each by applying 12v . None will come on. What is best to test backlight....

  • Re: vizio p602ui b3

After reading several posts about tearing off the side driver tabs, I have to ask do you remove the tabs on both sides? With nothing to lose I thought I would try. If my panel is bad where is the best place to try and sell the boards.
