Scored this along with a 60PV250 from people who advised "picture stuck on little one sound but no picture on the big one". So yes this one is stuck at the LG startup screen and won't go any further. Does switch on/off with remote and set controls, receives commands but doesn't react - so I suspect eeprom (nand flash on this I think). Have been able to download new firmware to USB but can't get it running to upload. Have tried freeze spray, menu menu on set and rc but no results. Anyone have any knowledge how to get beyond the splash or kick start this set??

One guy did a preheated oven at 385 fahrenheit for 10 minutes but who knows how long this type reflow will last.Last edited by nomoresonys; 04-29-2018, 07:22 AM.Comment

Re: LG 42LE7500 stuck at splash screen
OK and thanks for advice. Yes the boards in these look weak and subject to heat flexing I would think. Obvious main board problem so went over it all with heat and then gave it a try. The set fired up and I was able to tune it in, check and reset all settings, and give it a good run. When turned off to standby and then restarted backlights did not come on, however this morning it started normally so took the opportunity to update software which took as described. Now for a few days testing and here's hoping.Comment

Hi everyone.
Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen 3, stuck on the "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" screen.
Found a lot of people with this issue, but with no definitive answer. Some people managed to get away accessing BIOS, going to Startup and turning off "Option Key Display". For me that only removed the interrupt normal start up message, leaving only the Lenovo logo.
Most people say hitting Enter does not work. It's true, if you wait a few seconds. But if you hit Enter right away you get the options to enter BIOS (which works), run diagnostics (goes to a... -
by reformattJust had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".
It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...07-31-2025, 08:37 PM - Loading...
