Hello Iotas. I have a NU series.
I tried rewriting the 25Q40 + status registers. I installed it and the standby light came on.
Then re read 25Q40 and the status registers are modified from 0x88 , 0x42 to 0x00, 0x02
Can you please check the dumps?

Working with Bga chips especially CPUS
Hello. I mostly do small electronics and tv repairs. I am confident with small bga chips but I never was successful with removing large chips especially cpus. Is it possible to remove them just using a preheater and hot air gun or I need something more advanced like a bga machine with temperature profiles, cooling fans, etc etc.
Any suggestion on aliexpress/ebay are welcomed. I am on a tight budget, max I can do is about 200$. Please anyone with more experience can give me some suggestions?

Had the same set about 3 weeks ago. The set was just above 2 years, same as yours.
Intermittent picture, sometimes it was ok, sometimes no vgl no vgh. Wrote it off as no fix, panel problem. There should be a manufacturing fault by the panel maker. Also seeing lots of 58 vestels with screen problems. I think it's the same manufacturer but can't recall correctly.Leave a comment:

About emmc replacement
Hello. After lots and lots of tvs having firmware failure I decided to get a socket to reprogram the emmc. Yesterday I checked that one emmc had a 100% usage so it couldn't be reprogrammed and it should be replaced.
I checked in my store and I had no exact replacements for this emmc (KLM8G1WEMB-B031).
Is it possible to replace even if the part numbers do not match as long as the emmc has the same capacity?
Is there any anywhere where I can order new emmc. I checked few stores in Aliexpress but I think they are used or is it safe to order emmcs from... -

Yes those strips are compatible but there are cheaper alternatives if you search on Ali.
Also check the light sheet guide if its damaged or not.

I think its a software issue. Usually emmc goes faulty. Pretty sure a new mainboard would solve this problem.

If the picture dosen't show any artifacts like image jumping up down, or different colors. If it looks like only the background flickers then its probably dying leds. The video that you provided is very short but im kinda confident that its a dying led.Leave a comment:
