    Samsung LE40C750R2K horizontal lines

    Hi All

Please could I ask a quick question on whether the stripes onscreen showing on menu items is fixable or worth trying to repair? I haven't acquired it yet, but if it's not an economic repair, I won't bother taking the project on! Hope this is OK?

    Regards
    Les

        @lesnajair:

Did you ever fix this issue?

Also, did you notice a greenish tint to the area with he horizontal lines?

I'm having a similar issue with my LG LED monitor but with the added greenish tint and it happens in only the right half of the monitor. :|

        Thanks for any replies.

          Hi

No, the issue wasn't fixed. The TV was for sale very cheap and I was asking for advice before I bought it but decided against it in the end. I like a simple fix! LOL. Good luck with yours.

LOL if you were to change tab bond flex you would need a $5,000 tab bonding machine or make a homemade one. Also requires special strips and solutions consisting of acid.

Which acid? And for what? For removing old glue?

Why do that? What are for ckv lines?

interesting video. Not sure if I had all that "capability", that I wouldn't use a "new strip" instead of trying to salvage the existing strip... I think that's what I saw. Kind of like replacing the lcd in a tablet but saving the existing digitizer screen for reuse. :-) Maybe they are harder to come by than the equipment.

LOL there are other videos on Y/T showing using new tabs. however despite using old crusty tab it did work.

However the vid was edited so hard saying if you watch the vid you can see he has 2 tabs the one he inspected under microscope and the other under the glass table and that one looked wrinkly and crusty.

The tabs you can order on aliexpress for cheap. Also the tape for bonding ( around $80 ). Only problem is to attach it to the panel in line.....

You need big machines for that i guess...

                                Hi guys

I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.

never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.
it has 3 thin small boards at the bottom of the...

                                Hello,

First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

I'm no expert but I've done the tape...

I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went...

I just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.

I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying...
