I have a Sony 60 inch LED KDL 60r520a . Had this TV for about 5 months originally PowerUp nothing came on the screen from Googling and stuff I tested the t-con and it was bad tried to replace the bad components messed the t-con up. Recently found a donor TV broken screen still lit up and played. I swap the new t-con in the TV turns on was watching videos grab the TV to move it and it powered off. I unplugged it powered it back on came back on let it play videos for about an hour then it went off again. And now all I can get it to do is Flash the Sony logo and then the 6 blinks. I even swapped power supplies and main boards. Could this be caused buy a bad LED. I replaced lots of backlit LEDs never Edge lit. The donor TV was a 70 inch the LED strips might not be the same length. This model has three boards power supply tcon main board

Did more testing
3.3vsb is 3.3v
Acd is 3.3v
Power on 3.3v when switched on
Tcon 12v
Reg12v is 12v when on
Bl error is 3.3v when turned on
Blon is 2.9v when turned on
Pwm dimmer 1.6v when turned on
Led connector
Led1 + goes to 137v
Led1 - goes to 60v
Same readings led2 led3
Screen flashes logo for a second .
Where does the bl error detection come from the tcon? OrAttached Files -

Can't win with this TV turns out the power connector to the board isn't always connecting. So I fixed that TV turns on the right side facing the TV is darker and sluggish yesterday it was fine I'm guessing I can't remove the driver board like you can on the 70 inch models are there any work around for the 60 inch models.Comment

you have a BL error which is more likely that you have some of the LEDs out. The operation on those can be done IF you can find suitable replacement leds.
Of course, a picture of the display will likely confirm this.Comment

Now have swaped back the oeignal psu was the connected from wall plug to psu. I had video for awhile now just back lights on no video tv responds to remote. I am using Tcon from 70r550a which shop jimmy says is a substitute think the tcon is bad gets extremely hotComment

Backlights stay on now just no video. Possible panel failure? Yesterday worked fine . Then power cord issue that's fixed but then half screen darker sluggish and now no video at all. Swaped main board and psu no change . Don't have another tcon to try. Have 12v at tcon but tcon getting extremely hot.Comment

What do you get on the screen if you have the flat ribbon cables between the T-CON and the LCD panel connected one at a time?Never stop learning

Facing back of tv disconnect left cable I get half white half black . Disconnect right cable I get a washed out white pic across whole screen looks like some distortion of colour or pictureComment

Ordered new tcon replaced it turn the TV on back lights come on then dim but still no picture. Disconnecting the ribbon cables from the t-con to the panel one side at a time does nothing just the backlight stays the same is this a mainboard issue?Comment

I did try swapping motherboards. I reinstalled the old t-con removing one ribbon out of time the screen is half black half whiteComment

I got here a Sony 65X950G - I tried to find any repairs guides for this model but not many online
here is the issue
I have Sony and android logo. but then 4 led red flash lights front of the tv
I have 3.3v ref. 12v reg then T con 12v when I press the power on button
but then I get black screen and 4 red flash light at the front LED
but I get 3 led flash on the LED driver board.
I check that few X900F or C YouTube repairs, seems that if you have 4 led red flash it could be due of LED black light error

Hi,
i want to repair a Sony KD-75XF9005 TV that initially only showed a grey picture.
Backlight seems to work, Sound (Setup menu after reset) works.
If i dissconnect the left FFC cable from TCON to panel i have half a screen on the right. If left cable is connected always only the grey screen.
Interchanged the cables, its always only the right side that is working. Always grey if left side is connected.
With my small knowledge i would think at least the cables are good.
Can this happen because of a bad tcon board?
Or is it always a bad/shorted... -
I'm currently working on repairing a malfunctioning Sony TV model KD-65XE7005 with the mainboard 1-981-926-21. I would appreciate your assistance with this issue.
Upon powering on the TV, the Sony logo appears for approximately 3 seconds, after which the backlight remains lit, the screen remains black, and nothing else happens. The TV consumes around 55W initially and then drops to 35W. The indicator LED remains solid white. It doesn't respond to the remote control. When attempting to update the TV using a USB dongle, the dongle briefly flashes but nothing else happens.

Hope this finds you well. This LG 82UN8570AUD (April 2021 model) 4K UHD television has full audio capabilities but video is compromised / problematic.
When I picked up this large LG tv it had a full black screen upon startup. Previous owner said it just went black one day. No popping sound or anything else of note.
I got the display to work by taping off several traces of the right-hand side ribbon cable on the TCON that leads from TCON to PANEL. However, despite dozens and dozens of attempts to find the right combination / range of traces taped... -
The TV shows a black screen with no image.
TCON ribbon connectors were disconnected individually for image and there was no half image even.
Later both ribbons were disconnected and TCON voltages were tested.
12V, 3.3V, 1.8V were seen present but VONE signal reads 0V.
There is also a short to ground in this circled inductor.
Is this a TCON issue or something else ?...
