Re: Samsung UN60EH6050FXZA no picture or sound Only a blue screen
this is where good pics and follow up from the poster is handy.
though i have a feeling that this one may have a t-con.
if the stand is removed, then the secondary edge back cover.
then the stand support.
i think there is a separate t-con under there.
i could be wrong though and the op is going to need to confirm/deny if this is so, and supply appropriate pics to clear this one up.

Re: Samsung PN51D450A2D
i saw the word t-can and didn't see the word plasma.
plus no pics.
in that case. what do you have for vs and va in relation the the panel label?
picture of the control board and the whole back would help endlessly.

Re: Samsung PN51D450A2D
if you disconnect the cable that runs from the p/s to the main board, do you get backlights?

Re: Samsung UN55H6203AF - No Picture! - No Sound?
disconnect one of the ribbon cables that goes between the t-con and the panel driver board.
apply power and see if you get half a pic.
disconnect power.
reinstall the ribbon cable, and then remove the opposing ribbon cable.
apply power.
check if the other half of the screen gives you a picture.
photo of the back of the tv with the rear cover off would be a great way to start too.

Re: LG 50PZ550 with EBT61533103 EAX63546403 Main Board
since it is a bga chip (solder pads and balls under the chip), you can reflow with hot air and lots of flux but recommended that a proper ir rework station be used. this way it is heated to an exact temperature while using a preset heating graph, so not to under/over heat the chip, thereby creating further faults.
your oven reflow is basically a poor mans way of doing a temporary repair. issue with baking is that even if you are great at masking off everything that you possibly can, you are also still heating more...

Re: Toshiba 46sl417u neglected water damage
much wow.
this would be for parts only. if by some miracle you managed to clean the pcb and restore all of the damaged solder points, there is way too much damage on that one very bad tab connection to sustain anything long term.
for fun, apply heaps of flux and go mad with hot air and your iron to see how much of it actually cleans up.

Re: 2012 Samsung plasma, top half is black pn51e550df1
there is no way to tell if those resistors are meant to have continuity or not without knowing the value of each piece. so you have to read each component, then check it's resistance and if it then reads out of spec, remove it and retest.

Re: 2012 Samsung plasma, top half is black pn51e550df1
first thing that i think that you need to do is remove the upper buffer board completely from the chassis.
in diode mode, place your red probe on that connector that you have just discussed, then rake your black probe down the pins that where the panel plugs into the buffer.
a beep is bad.
once you know which chips on the buffer are bad, you will be able to test the new one prior to installation.
it seemed to me that you were unsure of how to test them properly. let us know how you go.

Re: Samsung LE46C750 colored lines over the whole screen
disconnect one ribbon cable that goes between the t-con and the panel. power up and check pic, then reinstall that cable and do the opposite half. power up and check pic.
personally it looks like panel to me.
looks like bud typed faster than i did! :P

that makes things lots easier. happy led replacing.

Re: LG 47LA620S no power no LEDs
i would start by jumping pwr-on and drv-on to 3.5v with a 470 to 1k resistor to start with. main board disconnected of course. see if you get your boosted pfc voltage and see what the backlights do. also, it looks like the area around the backlight boost circuit has been getting rather warm, so check your solder joints while you are at it.

Re: Samsung 46" UA46C6900
so it looks like this ps has a pull up resister for the bl/on signal.
if you are getting 380v with jumpers in place, are the backlights working? and do you have all of your other voltages on the main wiring harness, if so, it looks like a main board issue.
