    Sharp LC-60LE832U

    System will not power up. Has worked flawlessly since new (4 or 5 years; best guess), went to turn it on yesterday and noticed the long blink/quick blink of the power indicator. Tried all of the tips in related threads and never got any response from the TV.

    Will add that there was a brown out earlier that morning and the power dimed several times in a row. TV was not on and nothing else seemed to show any problems. Did not have to reset clocks etc.

    Okay, will get pics and post. No voltage checks yet, will need to get a good voltmeter.

    Thanks
    Rick S.

        Need voltages from connector that goes from power supply board to main board. Will need pin#- PIN DESCRIPTION -Pin voltage in standby-Pin voltage when pushing power button and picture of connector on power supply board.
        Format:
        Pin# - Pin Description - Pin Voltage standby - Pin voltage power on
        1 - XXXXXXX - XXv - XXXv
        2 - XXXXXXX - XXXv - XXXv
        3 - XXXXXXX - XXXv - XXXv
        4 - etc.
        I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

              Okay, went out and bought a new multi-meter because I thought my old one was bad. Same results. Pin #9 is the only pin with any voltage at all and it is 5.08.

                What is the actual blink code Long blink/quick blink means nothing
                Should be slow flash, 1,2,3 or 4 times followed by fast 1,2,3,4 or 5

                    Blink code is 1 long and 1 short.
                    The only pin with power was 15 not 5.
                    Got the pin labels from the board.

                      With main board cable disconnected use 1k resistor jump from pin 15 to pin 14. See what you get for voltages.

                        Humm, you just jumped over my capabilities I think.

                        Where would I find a 1k resister? Would that be a 1,000ohm?

                            Any value between 470 ~1000 Ohms will be fine.
                            BTW: 13 - AC-DET - 000v
                            That should be areound 3VDC or so for normal condition, it can be due to bad OPTO or the resistors on the LED side of the OPTO.

                              Here comes one of those "stupid questions".

                              With no apparent voltage output from the power board would replacing the power board likely resolve the issue or are there likely underlying issues?

                                Did you perform the 1k resistor test? Testing is a way to help make correct decisions. Otherwise, you're just going wind up swapping boards with no guarantee of success. If you still have a Radio Shack open or any other electronics store in your area, then you should be able to get a resistor through them.

                                  I believe they closed some time ago. Will have to take a trip to the city (Chattanooga) over the weekend.

                                  I understand that I should unplug everything from the PB for this test? If so I can use the 24 pin cord and poke the ends of the resistor into the other end in the appropriate plug terminals, right?

                                  Will get back to you.

                                  Thanks

                                    If you have any old electronics around, you might be able to pull a resistor out of it. The value can be anywhere from 470 to 1k ohm. As dskall said, unplug the mainboard and insert the resistor in appropriate plug holes.

                                        Re: Sharp LC-60LE832U

                                        If pins 5 & 6 are connected together then both should both read 13.06V
                                        If Pins 7 & 8 are connected together then they should both read 13.06V
                                        If Pin 9 is Ground then it cannot read 5.08V
                                        I think there is something very wrong with the above readout table.

                                        Are you certain you have connected BU5V to PS_ON using a 1K resistor and mainboard disconnected?

                                        Was your meter set to DC volts?

                                          Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code

                                          I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
                                          It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

                                          So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
                                          After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

                                          I write this to maybe help another with this TV.

                                          So I aquired this TV a 2023 model. It started the 2 blink reboot problem which indicates bad panel. It was still under warranty and the repair man came by.

                                          The Samsung repairman brought a brand new panel and switched my original boards to the new panel. The new panel then had the 2 blink error code. The repair guy said he has seen this and the MAIN board on this model will cause the 2 blink. He then replaced the main/power board (they are both connected) and put it back onto my original panel. Voila it worked.

                                          SHARP LC-70UC30U starts up with RESET then turn off and blink 1 LONG 1 SHORT

                                          Hello guys,

                                          I have SHARP LC-70UC30U which won't turn on and the stand by LED blinks the 1 LONG 1 SHORT error
                                          According to other sharp SM-s it is lamp error (I can't find SM for this model)
                                          And yes I checked other blink error threads on the forum about other Sharp models and still can't make it work.

                                          If I unplug the set and hold the POWER and INPUT buttons while I'm plug it back the set fires up and shows sharp logo and after that the Android logo and turn itself off again and starts the blinking and wont turn on again except if I do the RESET procedure again....

                                          Sharp LC-80LE632U 2-5 blink code
                                          by SdlewisSr
                                          I have a Sharp LC-80LE632U with a 2-5 blink code. I have narrowed it down to the T-Con/Panel. I get the error if both or either ribbon cable is connected between the T-Con and the Panel. If I disconnect both ribbon cables, I get no error and the TV powers up just fine.
                                          Does anyone know if this is a definite bad Panel or is there a chance that the T-Con could still be at fault?

                                          hi, new member her and apologize if this has been discussed.. tried to search and most of the result are for LC-xxLe6xx series and not sure if it's applicable to the 745U.

                                          the TV stopped turning on and after the V logo stayed solid for a minute or 2, it gives the 3 slow and 1 fast blinks which from what I researched are internal communication error.

                                          did some voltage measurement on the power supply out.
                                          Pin 1 and 2 = 0V --> PNL 12V
                                          Pin 3 and 4 = 0 V --> GND
                                          Pin 5 to 8 = 13V --> UR 13V
                                          Pin 9 to 12 = 0 V --> GND
