    Re: Sharp LC-60LE832U

I will get back. Got very confused with the plug layout, seemed to be backwards somehow on the other end?

Yes, trying to read from the other end of the cord but it seems to be backwards and after multiple tries I am going to call it a night. Seems to get different reading every time I try?

Thanks for your help, please be patient.

You can backprobe connector at power board.

Second reading; taken from the solder pins on the bottom of the board. I did accidentally

bridge 3 & 5 with my probe creating a small arc at one point. I was using 3 as a ground

source. I did recheck the readings I had done prior and they remaind consitant afterwards.

With PB disconnected from the system and a 1k Resistor jumping 14 and 15. FYI, I did get

some minor fluctuation in the readings and used the most consistant numbers. I did double

and triple check the readings for consistacy.

When I plug in the PB these are the reading, I am guessing this would be the standby power? Will not power on, so I have no idea.

"1 - PNL 12v - 1.3mv - ???v" We still do not understand what the exact Voltage is for the ????V when TV is ON. 1V?10V? 1000V? Your meter shows ???V on the display? Bad data = less or no help.

TV will not turn on. The voltages described are with TV plugged in. One long and one short blink of the Power indicator on the front of the TV. Nothing else works on the panel or the remote.

I used the outline you provided showing the Pin#, Description, Standby Power and Power On status. I assumed the readings I got were standby readings hence the ???v for Power On status.

I haven't tried that, will do and get back to you. Do I need to remove the resistor and plug everything back in. Not sure how to power it in on without hooking things back up?

Those readings were with the resistor jumping 14 and 15.

Looking back at it now I wonder if 16 shoiuld have been volts?
So you disconnected the cable from the power supply board that goes to the main board and then you install the 1K Resistor between BU5V (pin 15) and the PS-ON (pin 14) to force on the power supply, correct?
The example on one of the Voltage reading:

Pin# - Pin Description - Pin Voltage standby - Pin voltage power on
                                5 - S13.2v - 13.06v - ???v

It does not make any sense when you do have 13.06V in Standby, and ???V POWER ON. It made no sense at all for having ????V. Since the power supply is no longer controlled by the main board so it does not have Standby condition any more since it is being forced on by the resistor, so that S13.2V should be present the minute you plug the power cord into the AC outlet.

I did not realize that the resistor was forcing the board on. I assumed those were standby readings but i guess they were in fact power on readings. Is that correct?

So, should I remove the resistor and take standby readings and move the readings I had in standby to power on?

Leave the resistor in place and report all the DCV readings of all those pins again after you plug the power cord into the AC outlet.

That is what the most recent readings were. Resistor was in place and I thought those were standby readings when it now appears they were power on readings.

If that is the case should I remove the resistor and take readings to place in the standby column?

Sorry if I am confusing you.

So are you telling me that per this reading with the resistor in place you are getting ????V which I do not know what that level since there is no such thing as ???V
                                        Example:
                                        5 - S13.2v - 13.06v - ???v

                                          No, it should have read 5 - S13.2v - ???v - 13.06.

I have not done the Standby readings. I will redo with the standby voltage without the jumper.

Again I did not realize the jumper forced a power on state.
