Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board

With VDD = 192 as per an earlier post by London-Freddie and your readings showing no resistance to ground on any of the pins I think it's time to replace the IC.

hi thanks for all this help.
just replaced power board with used ebay board, tv now working fine with this replacement board. However I have also ordered a replacement IC so when that arrives I will replace the IC on the fault board and see if I can get it working, will let you all know how I get on when it arrives and it is fitted.
      thanks again all

Yes please. It will be interesting to see if it fixes the problem and will be useful for others to know who may have the same problem.

BTW, did you have a chance to take the resistance readings of the new board and compare them to the bad board?

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board

OK update on this dead board, replaced ic FAN6300 and board is now powering up with several output pins now reading 12v, no output voltages were present on this board before.
Not tried it in the tv as thats all working with the replacement ebay board and I dont want to take this tv apart again unless i have to, however I am confident this board is fixed, so you guys can give yourselves a big pat on your back you were right it was the ic giving the problem, I would never of found the fault by myself. Thanks again

I would like to try it in the tv and prove to myself it is working but as you said in one of your vids the lcd has no support at all when the back cover is removed, far too much flexing on the screen for my liking with the backremoved, would hate to damage the screen and waste all the work everyone has put into this to get it working

I am trying to fix a dead Vestel 17IPS71 and came across this thread (i`m impressed with the knowledge on here so thought i should register), i think i have the same problem as the op and i`m going to swap the ic.

My question is the only replacement i can source quickly is a FAN6300AMY, is this a suitable replacement?

Do I need to remove the board the test the fuse?

yes thats the fuse you need to test so yes remove the board turn it over and measure resistance across the fuse it should roughly the reading you get when you short your multi meter leads together.

put the power supply back into the tv you could then test the voltage on one of the connectors starting with 5v stanby .

would this be safer? "could you measure the dc voltage on CN3-CN4 (black connector) with the mainboard disconnected and see if there is at least a standby voltage"? but not sure where to put the probes.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                            Assuming...

                                            by k370
                                            Hi everyone,

I have a NM-A321 board that is dead, with no power at all.

When I received the laptop, the +5VPMIC line was shorted. Removing the PU3 (ISL95905) solved the short, so I ordered and replaced the ISL.

With the new ISL, the short is gone, but still no voltages at all. I measured the following rails:
                                            • +3VALW
                                            • +5VAUX
                                            • 1.2VSUS_PWRGD
                                            • 3VALW_PGD
                                            • 1.05VAUX_PWRGD

Additionally, the ISL95906 (PU3) is not getting any voltage on the VIN rail.

The only place on the board where I find any voltage is on the first MOSFETs, specifically:...

                                            Initial Issue

The laptop initially presented graphic issues and driver failure (Code 43) for the GPU.

After preventive maintenance (cleaning, thermal paste, etc.), it powered on normally. We disassembled it again to inspect the GPU, reassembled...

Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.
Main power board model: TP.MS3683.PC821 T-Con board: N4TP546UHDPU2L_BO

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...

Nikon D5 – dead, power board issue ?

Hello, the DSLR has heavyly fallen. It is dead : no sign of life and display nothing.

When it worked, it always displayed a card present state on LCD display, even when the battery is empty it display a empty battery symbol.
I found a dead fuse, I replaced it and a mosfet burnt, I changed it and another fuse burned. Nothing burned after. And I can't find any short circuit anywhere, it's weird.

Now, I try to understand how it works.

There is two boards (the little one on pictures has no component) : the first is a « power board » : managing...
