the information of the ic is very small so it may be a problem but the one above has 6300A MYC on it (I can only just make it out). but still haven't found the problem so how do I test this (do I need it plugged in?)Last edited by fnets; 11-02-2017, 05:20 AM.Leave a comment:

brilliant thank you. going through tests this morning starting page 1.
I'll probably replace the ic anyway but can't find anything similar to this on the board?

1. voltages across C19=325v, C20=324v, C21=324v
2. Diodes seem ok but ...

just tried on 1.5v "C" Duracell and meter ok on DC setting?
I also tried testing the diodes and I think they're ok (but this is the first time I've tested a diode).
the capacitors look ok but haven't tested them.

I have a Toshiba LED 40" TV and need to buy a new power board Vestel 17IPS71 (no 5V standby voltage across pin 9)
are these numbers relevant?
