    Transistor for TV problems

I'm a noob when it comes to these types of things, I have a transistor that i tested, it seems to be a bad one. I'm trying to order a new one from Amazon but i don't know which one I should get, can someone please post a link from Amazon on which type of transistor I should get, here's a pic of the bad transistor.

How is it tested out? Shorted? What circuit section is it in?

maybe explain to every one the fault + Tv model photos of boards etc

Chances are that FET is ok

And like newtothis said, click on advanced, manage attachments and upload direct, max size of image is 2000 x 2000 so you may need to resize the photos

It's a Vizio E470VL, picture on the TV doesn't come on but the orange standby light changes from orange to white when I press power on the TV.

Dare I even try to get involved as my LCD knowledge is slim but if the front led changes colour have you then checked what DC voltages are present on the PSU at the connectors?

Does it remain white? If you get a flashlight and try to put some light on the TV can you make out an image?

there maybe other posts on Vizio E470VL. tried a search on model yet?

No pic and probably no backlight but will have the 5v STBY as set "attempts" to power.... So will be missing the 12v and 24v.

Can you give me a close up pic of the connector that goes from the PSU to main (Top left of your image) so I can see the labels for voltages please.

Need to confirm voltages at this connector to confirm the missing voltages and see what's going on.

That is body diode of the MOSFET you are seeing, the Cathode of the Diode is connected to the Drain pin (middle pin), the Anode is connected to the Source pin (right pin), this is N-CH MOSFET.

It is not showing as shorted circuit, using Ohm meter can only do so much for testing the MOSFET, but this MOSFET has nothing to do with what the TV is doing right now, it is the main board that is not sending the signals to turn on the power supply board and the inverter board but we need to know if those Voltage readings are made with the power switch is activated or not, that is VERY IMPORTANT info I need to know.

OK, then the problem is on the main board and will require more troubleshooting.

Can a eeprom fix this issue? And what's under that metal rectangle in the middle of the main board?

                                          Hello,
on this laptop hp g72 b52sf i have screen problems as you can see with the photo joined in attachments.
the used graphic card is "intel hd graphics" and the id of the integrated screen is : "monitor/SEC3354".
i verified the driver of the pΓ©ripherals and they are ok. i verified the definition and settings of the graphic card and of the screen : definition 1600x900 and refreshment frequency :60hz. (they are the sames for the graphic card and the screen).
i don't understand the reasons of the white stripe at the bottom of the screen below the task...

Recently I discovered my SSD died (OCZ/Toshiba 240 GB). It was in a USB enclosure, attached to the Linksys WRT-AC1200 router. Since then I removed the USB enclosure and attached it to my Win7 PC (AMD 8150 CPU, 970 chipset, 64 GB RAM). I also gathered one or two other USB enclosures to figure out what is going on.

(I suspect that I lost quite a few MP3 and FLAC files I recently ripped from my audio CDs, I think I lost very little un-replaceable stuff.)

I think it is IMPOSSIBLE for Win7 to have any problems with a USB enclosure as long as Win7 knows how to speak to the...

                                          Hello
Got this speaker from a friend , defective. Power led comes on and off , in a loop.
Disassembled, got the board out, and after a bit of measuring I found a low resistance on a 5v6 line. With a bit of current I found a transistor heating up on that line (labeled T1 and 113 as on pic).
After removing this guy, I got a value of 0.7 in diode mode on that 5v6 line, which before had 0.02 or something like that.

I tested powering it up without the IC, and the speaker turns on and stays on, and works fine

Still, I need to replace this transistor....

Need help to solve some problems with this laptop.

After working in bed with it one night and heating up too much (probably the cause of this problems) the sata HDD OS windows froze
After restart the original Sata HDD was not recognized anymore (but works fine in other laptops or PCs)

Tried connecting other good Sata 2.5 HDDs but not one is working in this laptop anymore (not the original nor others)

Before this had happened I observed some other problems:
When I tried replacing original mecanical HDD with a SSD HDD could not get them...
