Lenovo 11e problems (any sata hdds are not recognized, sleep battery drain)

Need help to solve some problems with this laptop.

After working in bed with it one night and heating up too much (probably the cause of this problems) the sata HDD OS windows froze
After restart the original Sata HDD was not recognized anymore (but works fine in other laptops or PCs)

Tried connecting other good Sata 2.5 HDDs but not one is working in this laptop anymore (not the original nor others)

Before this had happened I observed some other problems:
When I tried replacing original mecanical HDD with a SSD HDD could not get them to work.
Seemed odd at that time, but now I am guessing it was because they werent powering up.
Also when I tried connecting 2 USBs in the same time (with the sata hdd on, used for booting windows) , the one I tried connecting would not work. Always had to unplug 1 usb, for the other to work.
    The laptop has only 2 usb ports (1x 2.0 , 1x 3.0 usb type)

The SATA hdd is connected to the motherboard through a ribbon cable. one end with normal sata female connector ant the other end comes plugged in CN17-1 connector.
There is +5V good at Sata connector CN17-1 comming from the motherboard (as you could see in the attached picture)
+5V powers up USB controllers aswell.

So I assume there is not enogh amperage for SATA HDD to power up, plain and simple. And also for the other USB to work properly in the same time.
And that this problems got worse after that heating up too much in bed.

Also the laptop consumes too much battery in sleep (standby) mode.
aprox 1% / hour (thus always if low battery over night I end up loosing work and it is frustrating)

I think this problem might be related to the other somehow.

What could be the cause for this problems?

I posted the schematics and boardview over here

measure voltage on the Sata connector again when both the Sata HDD and a USB mouse are connected, to check for voltage drop or instability. You can check the other Sata pins as well.

Lenovo Flex 5 14ITL05 - will only sleep if commanded to through start menu>power icon
      by survivalbloke
This laptop refuses to sleep unless specifically commanded to sleep through Windows. If I close the lid, the screen does go dark just before the lid is closed, so it appears the hall sensor works. However, it will sit there, drawing 1.xx amps until the battery dies. If I command it to sleep, it drops down to normal sleeping current. If I have it sleeping with lid closed and I disconnect the power adapter, it will wake from sleep, even with the lid closed. I have updated the firmware, but still the fault persists. I've also verified power settings in Windows that the device is to sleep when the...

GIGABYTE X299 AORUS ULTRA GAMING - SATA PORTS 4-7 NOT WORKING ???
      by DynaxSC
      Hi,

I have the above mentioned bord after repair, which was related to a lot of missing smd devices on the back of the board.
There were almost 20 devices missing, caps, resistors and some diodes/mosfets.
The board is generally working now, all PCIe ports are working, Windows installs normally.

However I have a problem with SATA ports 4-7 (the board has 8 SATA ports) - disks are not beeing recognized by the BIOS neither by Windows (which is usually normal in case BIOS does not recognize them).
The SATA 4-7 driver network is quite simple chipset<->buffers/drivers<->SATA...

Satellite r945-p440 - Hard crash coming out of sleep

      Toshiba Satellite r945-p440
      Motherboard: FAM2SY2 A3256A
I do not have a schematic or board file

I usually let it go to sleep every time I use it because it is nearly always plugged in, with occasional shutdowns to reset things. Then it started to hard crash every time it tried to come out of sleep. The lights would come on for half a second but before anything shows on the screen they would all shut off and it would boot up as if I had shut it down completely (except that windows knows it didn't), and when it comes back on the fan ramps up to full and stays there perpetually...

ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING - M.2_2 port not working correctly with SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD
      by DynaxSC
      Hi,

I have an really very weired issue with ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING.

Some NVME (PCIe) SSD's are not working correctly in the second M.2 socket. An example of it is the SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD.
Some other NVME (I have only smaller ones) disk do work without any problem, also SAMSUNG disks, eg an MZVPV128HDGM-0000.

The behaviour is also really very strange, i.e.:
      • The disk shows always up in BIOS - so it is recognized, so far so good
      • POST-ing with this disk with fresh Windows 24H2 installation (done in the M.2_1 socket) in the M.2_2 socket
      ...
