So using HP_840_g8_bootomside_ec.rar (16.89 MB, 1 view) file from post # 335
With 840 G8 ok file, machine turns on, fan full speed and keyled mute and microphone keys with orange light.
No picture at all or any other signs of life.
With the second one, HP 840 G8 (1086) L2 OK ,it turned on and did the bios update.
I still have the Securty endpoint unit error and POST is slow.
Any way to fix this part? Password is gone...

Just tried the dump, it works, BUT keyboard is not working, only a few keys work and its totaly random.
Tried just now with a know good keyboard, same thing.
Could this be BIOS related or smth else?

I would love to, but then I flash this dump I get a post black screen with the text "Q85 ver 01.03.00 11/20/2024 pres esc key for startup menu" and then machine shuts off and does the same in a loop.
Not able to enter startup menu with esc key.
Basically its the same thing with the original broken bios.
The only dump that worked its the one from post 395 but POST is slow.

Laptop turns on power white led, and nothing else. No fan spin, no POST, nothing.
CPU and GPU are cold. I can see Im mising 1.2VP at pl3001 and +10v at PL7901
I think due to missing SUSP_N signal from ITE.
And yes, I've tried the bios from post#5

Apparently it had locked bios, but it went somewhere before coming here so I dont know what they did to the dump...
