well some of the numbers do not match up with your previous board or the firmware could be different on the new one

In which case your kind of S.O.L. unfortunately... you'll just have to wait until one comes up for sale.

I'm sure it's possible. But you need the firmware so without it...

Mikeyboy, what's the model number of the TV? I'm facing a similar problem with a Bush 40" LED with a possible firmware issue. Am trying to find a file to try reflashing the firmware chip but no luck so far. My board is 17MB95M though.

Hi mate my tv is the same BUSH LED40127FHDCNTD i just had a look at your thread there and it seems that both these tvs had the same issue but upon me putting in another mainboard the tv will stay on until its turned off now but i get no picture..

where you by any chance using the tvs apps while you turned the tv off and then problem occurred, the lady i got this tv from said she was watching netflix and turned the tv off at the wall and when she got up the next morning the tv would go on for a minute then switch itself off and on for another minute.

Re: restart problem with Bush LED TV

Interesting. Same model number but mine has the 17MB95M rather than the 17MB95S-1. Do you mind sharing your panel sticker and maybe the sticker on the back cover to see the other relevant numbers? I'm wondering if the firmware we're looking for is specific to the model number, panel number, main board part number or what. Toshiba's website has their Vestel firmwares by TV model number, and I wonder if they also use different boards in the same models. Anybody know about this?

I'm about to try some firmware flashing as soon as I get a moment to figure it all out.

It's a TV I got spares and repairs so I don't know if the previous owner was using an app when it happened. I didn't think to ask.

Hi Mikeyboy. You can try this with your original main board installed to flash the firmware. Download this file and unpack the bin files and txt file to the root of a FAT filesystem usb stick.

                        http://nsi-el.dk/upload_dir/docs/270...EN_256.xls.ZIP

With the TV unplugged, put the usb stick in the top usb port. Hold OK on the remote while pointing at the TV and plug in power. Wait a while and hopefully the TV will boot up with new software. Problem is it might not be the exact right software for your TV, which is the problem I'm having - the TV tuner still doesn't work. It at least might get you somewhere anyway.

will this work with all vestel boards or just this tv in particular ?

Re: restart problem with Bush LED TV

This firmware is for 17MB95 boards, and I'm discovering is set up fairly specifically for each TV, so your results may vary depending on things like panel and tuner version. I'm currently messing around a lot with a few firmware dumps trying to put together one tailored for the TV I'm working on but it's pretty complicated. For other boards there are similar things you can do but it varies a lot between boards.

Btw I would recommend you take a dump ..... of the firmware on your existing board BEFORE doing the procedure I mentioned above. In fact since you're working on the same model no, it'd be really useful to me if you could send a copy my way. I can send you a script to put on a usb stick that should do that for you if you like.

Looks like they're getting pretty good at engineering these things for perfectly-timed self desctruction.

Pity they can't put the same effort into engineering them to last.
