Hi, I have a Vizio E320VL LCD TV. It powers on fine. Backlight is lit, but no picture, and no on screen menu display. Nothing on the screen at all. I've replaced or checked all caps on both boards, with no avail. Also checked the tiny fuse on the main board for continuity. At one point I had sound while hitting the input button. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

7. Purple 12.35v
8. Gray 12.35v
9. White 12.35v
10. Black 2.98v
11. Brown 3.29v
12. Red 0.0v

There are labels for each one of those pins, what are they? It will make it easier to know which signals are not working.
But at this point you should check the DC Voltage at both end of the surface mounted fuse on the T-CON.Never stop learning

They all good that is why the backlights inverter is working.
You need to check the DC Voltage of the T-CON board next.Never stop learning

Re: Vizio V320EL Power and Backlight Good, But No Picture - Please Help
Sounds goofy, but I had this same TV with no picture. Reseating the LVDS cable got it back up and running. That's the rare easy fix, but the simple free things should be looked at first.Comment

Re: Vizio V320EL Power and Backlight Good, But No Picture - Please Help
There are more than one version of this model, your TV may not have separate T-CON board.
We need good clear pictures of the whole back side of the TV to what you have.

Re: Vizio V320EL Power and Backlight Good, But No Picture - Please Help
This TV only has the two boards. I guess the T-Con is made into the main board. There is a narrow board long board thats made onto the top ofthe panel itself. Here are the pics.
I also tested DC voltages on both sides of both little fuses on the main board, and they are right on, and both sides read the same.Comment

Re: Vizio V320EL Power and Backlight Good, But No Picture - Please Help
Do you see that 8-pin device just above the FUSE? That is the power MOSFET which is used as a electronics switch to supply the Voltage to the fuse, the MOSFET is turned on (T-CON on) the by the processor of the main board, so the processor is also not sending the signal to turn on the T-CON either, no surprise there.Never stop learning

Re: Vizio V320EL Power and Backlight Good, But No Picture - Please Help
At this point, yes.
It can be the EEPROM problem that needs to be replaced.

by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started βfading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly βnew' Tcon board this time, and... -
by ggil44Hi I inherited a Vizio M65-E0 that isn't working. It must have been dropped on the corner because I found that the infrared circuit had a capacitor with one end broken off of the board and some green corrosion around the plug to the main board. I re-soldered the capacitor and cleaned the corrosion well and tried turning the M65-E0 on and I was successful. My problem is that while the back lights come on and appear to perform local dimming there is no picture or sound. It kind of looks like you are looking at the TV through a very dense fog, where changing the input on the remote will change bright...

by maricmHI all,
hope someone point to the possible issue before I start buying replacement parts.
Tv starts normal and responds to remote fine, PSU voltages mesured fine 19v was 18.9V under load and 19V with main board disconnected.
Backlight stays on all the time,
Sound works fine.
screen keeps changing form black to full picture in about 1sec intervals.
Picture looks fine with no visible artifacts.
I have disconnected backlights and flashlight test confirmed that picture is still doing the same.
Disconnecting left and right ribbons on... -
Hi,
I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
Main board appears fine, too.
I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
If both are connected, the screen is black.
If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and... -
by Tr0llHi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.
The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.
Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.
First replacement T-con:
I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)... - Loading...
