Vizio m65-c1 picture flashing on and off on the screen

HI all,
hope someone point to the possible issue before I start buying replacement parts.
Tv starts normal and responds to remote fine, PSU voltages mesured fine 19v was 18.9V under load and 19V with main board disconnected.
Backlight stays on all the time,
Sound works fine.
screen keeps changing form black to full picture in about 1sec intervals.
Picture looks fine with no visible artifacts.
I have disconnected backlights and flashlight test confirmed that picture is still doing the same.


Disconnecting left and right ribbons on the t-con board to Pannel did not change anything.

some voltages measured on t-con
vcom 6.9V
vgh 29.7V
vgl -8.04V
avdd 15.6V
v12_in 11,8V

VGHC seems to be changing and cant record exact values with my multimeter but peeks at 29.7 same as vgh

I know these sets have lot of issues with mainboards, but it is getting harder to find one ShoppJimmy does not have it

Yes probably main board related. Try reflow main chip. Use heat gun on it. You able to do something like that?

Thanks, I may give it a try, I found Nicks tv repar that offfer proper rballing and reflowing so it may be better long term solution

TV is fixed now it turns out it was T-CON board. Unfortunately I did not measure voltages after the fix in order to try to find out what component failed but these are cheep enough to replace
Hopefully this helps somebody
