You can try that, limit temperature to about 90C.

It seems like heating up C7011 causes it to work. I am using a small nozzle just aiming at that cap.

thats the cap you have changed a couple of times? i wonder if the track has a break in the circuit? as you already have replaced that cap unless its something else really close to that capacitor?

Im waiting for it to cool down again then try to heat it from the side to make sure, but I suppose it can be anything close that is heating up too.

can you post a picture of the area? are there parts on both sides of the board in that area?

Pics... C7011 is directly right of transformer.

Im trying to use freeze spray and heat to isolate the area, but I can't seem to get it stay 'off' with the freeze, but the heat definitely works to get it on. I think it's something on the bottom.

The last time I got it stay off I blew heat down the 2 small holes from the top, which are right above Q7000 and it came on instantly. Ill have to keep experimenting..

I think this is fixed, replaced IC7000, Q7000, and PC7000 and it seems to be working consistently. I suspected Q7000 but I replaced all 3 at the same time just to be sure.

As of now still working after several cold starts. So thank you Bud and Tom for the help. FYI the VCC at IC7000 is about 15.2V now as opposed to around 14.5V before which still seems low but it's working.

Hello, new here, i was looking on the web info on the same tv .
Mine does power on and shut off after a few minutes, then it blinks every 4 seconds not 3 as in the Inverter SOS.
I see no swollen caps i re heat the 3 items kevinm34232 said.
and this time flickered a bit.
                        And left it alone.
                        I will appreciate any help.

Hello, got a ST50 plasma TV for repair. No signs of life, not even blink codes. Opened it up to check the power supply, type MPF6914. Apparent issues from visual detection and measuring for shorts:
                          Diode type G972s6 - D101 with a short
                          Mosfet 06N90E - Q301 shorted
                          Fuse T5AH 250V - F103 blown
                          Diode D301 shorted
                          Relay DG1U-17VDC II - RL001 blown

I have not found a circuit diagram. Maybe someone here already dealt with a similar issue? Thanks for tips where else to check πŸ˜€...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
                          by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπŸ€”?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting πŸ˜‚.

                          Hi all,

As the title suggests, how can I be sure that my EC chip is really dead?

I've recently gotten into this hobby of laptop repairs, and have successfully brought back to life a couple with some easy fixes, mostly shorted caps.

Now I'm working on HP Probook 455 G8, that had some "devil" run around on 3V line, burning a bunch of stuff. Luckily I have a dead 455G7 (for spare parts) so I managed to fix it (swapped burned parts) to a point that it will charge (both on barrel jack and usb-c), but it doesn't want to turn on. There is a 3V3 on a keyboard...

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings

Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...
