Ok so I got given this LCD by a friend who was clearing his garage "it won't turn on" he said ,,,,,,I've tested the voltage on psu seems fine ,the backlight works ,so I'm guessing main board problem but don't know how to check these " EEPROM" ,,,,so I ordered a replacement board from TVparts uk now I get bad solariziation on screen,,,,two questions ,,can my original board be repaired or my replacement board be reset (on option byte) but I need a service code

Is the main board you got identical (as in from the same TV/correct display type). This problem is common if the board is for a different display. In some sets you can change display type in the service menu, but if it's a recent Vestel chassis you would need to change the firmware, I've had no luck getting firmware from Vestel (other than for Comet OEM products)

yes identical boards,,,when i ordered the replacement board i quoted the model number..i can go into software update but what with and where from is another matter..her are some pics of the 2 identical boards

can you post a picture of the fault shown on the tv screen i see toms asked you for the same too.

Pictures are poor - need to be in focus - are they Vestel? What are the board numbers.

Ok you need to find the Tcon Board get the board number and post it

If the panel is made by AUOPTO, the T-CON should looks something like this:

Which versions? V0? look at the numbers on the barcode sticker.

Ok so you need to test and list the 13 gl voltages that are in a line with 1 below - the description for them is above,
There is also another 4 points I cant see the description for and i that is VGH
there should also be a VGL if you can spot it.

ok here goes from left to right on pic above,, the point on its own 27.2 the 4 together read .023 , .006 , 0.1 , 1.3 , the points (long combo) 0.6 , 3.1 , 4.6 , 5.4 , 7.2 , 7.7 , 8.5 , 9.0 , 9.9 , 10.7 , 12.2 , 14.8 , ,,,the point under them on its own is 15.1,,,,there are 4 other points near the connector all around 3.1
