Vizio E461-A1 no picture or sound

I am looking at a VIZIO Razor 46" LED LCD tv that is only 1.5 years old. this tv was purchased at Costco but the customer was told that the TV only has a 90 day warranty. I have pictures and tests.
    U701 5.2 3.2 0
    U702 3.2 1.2 0
    U703 5.1 3.2 0
    U102 5.1 3.2 0

power to main board I have all correct voltages
    11.8
    24.2
    5.1
not sure where to look next.
so the tv turns on and the led lights up white but no picture or sound. and no backlight.

Re: Vizio E461-A1 no picture or sound

Does anyone know where I can get a service or training manual on this new of a tv. I have tested all of the voltage regulators but not sure if any of them are wrong. I tested the main rectifier when the tv was plugged in but off. and it is 168 vdc. when I push the power button that changes to 123vdc. once the tv is on the power led lights up. but the tv at this point won't turn off. the led stays lit no matter using the remote or the button on the tv to turn it off. when I unplug the tv and then let is sit and then plug it in the power light goes on and then slowly goes out.

Vizio SMs are like hens teeth. Here is a guide to VRs
      https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=22231
Whilst all a little low 0.05 to 0.1 they look as if they will be ok.
Chances are it is the eeprom many cases of that being the problem on unresponsive vizios.
There is even an after market for them which is an indication of how many are bad.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

I was looking at this for a friend. and she found out that the tv was still in warranty. The tech came to her house and replaced what she told me was a large board. I wish I would have gotten more info on what board. but once he replaced that board the tv worked.

It's a good chance its the U409 eeprom (flash) It's available on S.J. for $15.00.
Being that it was under warranty, vizio would have replaced the main board not have a tech try and reflash the chip, it's not worth it.

I may have had the same problem. Are you trying to mount the TV to the wall?

I have had my model for 3 years. Yesterday I moved the TV to another room to mount on a wall. I installed a generic wall mount system that connected directly to the TV. I first hung the TV and it worked fine. I then removed the base and the "neck" that slides into the bottom of the TV. With the neck out the TV has no picture or sound. I put the neck back in and everything works fine. Vizio says that it should work fine without the next. It would be nice to know if this approach solves the problem for someone else.

I am working on this same model set for a friend and it is completely dead. Power supply voltages check out ok, however when I push the power button on either the set or the remote absolutely nothing happens. I suspect it's also the EEPROM. I located it on the main board, but worried about trying to remove the old one and solder in the new. I have never had much luck soldering in surface mount components. I have the usual small pencil irons, solder wick, also a solder sucker. Since a used main board is quite expensive, (even on e bay), I am going to try my luck at replacing it. Any suggestions as to how to remove the old and replace it without ruining the board?

Well, I tried removing the EEPROM, I was very careful, but still the foil lifted up on 2 of the pins. Does anyone know of where I can get a rebult main board for this model Vizio E4461-A1 Board number is 715G5560-M01-000-004X

Did anyone resolve this issue? Was it ultimately the main board? Or the EEPROM ? Sure could use the feedback. Please and thank you in advance πŸ™πŸ½

Hi I inherited a Vizio M65-E0 that isn't working. It must have been dropped on the corner because I found that the infrared circuit had a capacitor with one end broken off of the board and some green corrosion around the plug to the main board. I re-soldered the capacitor and cleaned the corrosion well and tried turning the M65-E0 on and I was successful. My problem is that while the back lights come on and appear to perform local dimming there is no picture or sound. It kind of looks like you are looking at the TV through a very dense fog, where changing the input on the remote will change bright...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                                  by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                  Assuming...

I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started β€˜fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly β€˜new' Tcon board this time, and

Samsung UE60KU6079 backlight okay mainboard responsive, no picture, no sound

                                  Hello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...
