Perhaps a picture of it would help - what wattage is it and what sort of voltage does it have to carry - what does 1J6 mean( is that 1.6joules ?)
What physical size is it?
a joules to watts calc. problem it requires a time to calc.
if time was 1sec wattage is 1.6 watt, if time was .5 wattage is 3.2watts
Hope it helps
Hi - Thanks - I had read that during my search - it was only when I didnt find anything I wondered if it was 1.6J ( similar to 1R6 being 1.6 ohms) and only unit I could come up with was Joules .
I dont think it will be that which is why I am hoping the OP will tell where he got it?
where to buy fuse resistor 0.1ohm1J6--Photo and size
Thank you all for you help.
the size is 1/2 inch x 1/4 inch x 1/4 inch
see the photo, PIP is enlarged.
Could I use regular 0.1 ohm to replace it?
It is in a Sony 55EX610 LCD TV APS-299 power supply board.
part number R6540
I read someone in this form replace it but he did not say where to get.
Thanks again
