Re: Element FLX-3210 no power
UPDATE: I put new caps in, now the white light turns on but no picture or startup "element" screen. The flashing red light on the power supply doesn't flash anymore. Progress is being made but not completely fixed yet. What next?Comment

Re: Element FLX-3210 no power
test the voltages on the connectors. Meter on vDC20 or autorange. Black pin on a ground screw test each pin and report voltages against pin number a legend.
eg
Pin1 12v 11.59
You can do this test in various steps all of which give clues.
First with just the power supply plugged into the mains
Second with main board connected.
Third Main board connected and just as you press the on button. ( Just need to check "Pson" "B/L" ) for changes. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: Element FLX-3210 no power
I'm questioning myself as well. I took a picture, there is a connector in the lower left next the red led light, I can't find a cable for it that goes there.

Re: Element FLX-3210 no power
I notice the board is not screwed down - some sets need to be to work correctly or you can provide a ground connection. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Not 100% sure on exactly what your looking for, I started by doing this. Small connector in the below photo and large connector in the below photo I'm assuming is what your talking about. In order to turn the tv on and off both must be connected. So with both connected going left to right starting with the smaller connector I back probed the wire. n/w = no wire
0,n/w,4.9,n/w,n/w,3.2 .......... 24.9,0,0,0,0,11.9,n/w, 5.13,4.8
Not sure what to do next for testing voltages.Comment

Re: Element FLX-3210 no power
UPDATE!! Got it working!! I removed the metal shrouds that the power supply and main board sit on, I found the cable that connects to the tconn board disconnected. Now that I think about it, the previous owner did say he snooped around in an attempt to fix it, he must have disconnected this cable. Turns out it was the two capacitors that DID NOT show signs of bulging or leaking. Thanks for everyone's help and input. I now have my tv for the garage.Comment

Re: Element FLX-3210 no power
I've fixed a similar power supply in a Polaroid TV. I had to replace 10 HEC caps that were not bulging but had high ESR. You may have others you haven't discovered yet, so it might not be a bad idea to replace all the lower voltage caps to prevent a future catastrophic failure.Comment

by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

by ipatchhello, i have been sitting on some microsoft surface pro 4 tablets for a while now. i was originally tasked with replacing the battery in one of the tablets, and ended breaking the screen and logic board in the process. decided to buy another tablet with the same specs. got that screen off successfully of the second tablet. the logic board appeared good, but i guess i shorted something out in the installation process of the logic which i've read is a common issue if there is no barrier between the logic board and battery pins. all that said, i ate costs of the repair and have...

by russpallHi there,
I've got a 39" LG 39LN540V that's just spontaneously stopped working! The symptoms are - when I plug it in, the red light will flash on twice, then go out, there's no visible picture, and I couldn't see anything using a torch on the panel either. If I press the power button (either remote or on TV), the red light comes on continuously. If I press power again, the red light flashes twice.
The TV is using a power board EAX64905301. I've attached a diagram of the power output, I've tested the voltages with a multimeter and I'm getting the following:

by gamartinelliHello,
I have an Asus VG248QE that all suddenly stopped working. Everything was fine, I had my PC connected to the HDMI port and never had any issues. Then I decided to plug a laptop in the DisplayPort (USB-C to DP cable). It worked fine for a few hours, I left, at some point the monitor went to sleep mode and when I came back and moved the mouse monitor didn't wake up. The power button lights up in blue when the signal is good and amber when in sleep mode / no signal turned purple (first time I saw that). Did some research but couldn't find a way to bring my monitor back to life....-
