Re: Element FLX-3210 no power
UPDATE!! Got it working!! I removed the metal shrouds that the power supply and main board sit on, I found the cable that connects to the tconn board disconnected. Now that I think about it, the previous owner did say he snooped around in an attempt to fix it, he must have disconnected this cable. Turns out it was the two capacitors that DID NOT show signs of bulging or leaking. Thanks for everyone's help and input. I now have my tv for the garage.

Re: Element FLX-3210 no power
Not 100% sure on exactly what your looking for, I started by doing this. Small connector in the below photo and large connector in the below photo I'm assuming is what your talking about. In order to turn the tv on and off both must be connected. So with both connected going left to right starting with the smaller connector I back probed the wire. n/w = no wire
0,n/w,4.9,n/w,n/w,3.2 .......... 24.9,0,0,0,0,11.9,n/w, 5.13,4.8
Not sure what to do next for testing voltages....

Re: Element FLX-3210 no power
I'm questioning myself as well. I took a picture, there is a connector in the lower left next the red led light, I can't find a cable for it that goes there.
Thanks, stay tuned for results....

Re: Element FLX-3210 no power
UPDATE: I put new caps in, now the white light turns on but no picture or startup "element" screen. The flashing red light on the power supply doesn't flash anymore. Progress is being made but not completely fixed yet. What next?

Re: Element FLX-3210 Won't Turn On
Hey, I have the other post on the same tv. It usually takes me a couple tries but I just push on the power button and the standby light goes from red to blue. Why not try your remote?...

Re: Element FLX-3210 no power
I believe I found what your referring to. I put one of my DMM leads on this pin, where do I put the other lead? I can't test it until I get new capacitors....

Re: Element FLX-3210 no power
pulled the two 10uf 450v capacitors. One of them I pulled the lead out while trying to remove it from the board. The other I test and I'm getting .140nF.
Pulled one end of D10 diode out, with the positive lead near the heat sink I get open, with the negative lead near the heat sink I get .452 VDC

Re: Element FLX-3210 no power
My fluke is exactly like the one in this post, just a plain fluke 87, not III series

Re: Element FLX-3210 no power
Sorry for my inexperience but what is the bk_on and what does "make sure it's getting the bl_on command through from the main" mean?

They are HEC. Didn't see anything bulged. Yeah I know they can be bad but i don't have a esr tester...

Element FLX-3210 no power
first time poster
Got this tv for free.
Symptoms
when you plug the tv in, the red standby light is lit. When you push power the light turns blue, that's it. No picture, no flicker, no backlight, no buzzing. The only other thing I noticed is a red light on the power board flashes.
The two caps that traditionally bulge in the upper left corner of the power supply in the picture are not bulged. The really large one looks questionable but this cap doesn't look like the smaller ones so I'm not sure if the top should be domed or not. I...
