I have been checking around main board, but so many components. Is the PSB ruled out ? Selldoor thank you for the help
I have had another look - there is afuse un the inverter board - its a black
    rectangular one F7500.

Also johnboy1313 said to jumper the 5v to pson AND to the BLon.

The 5v to pson worked (so far) yes? but I dont think after Budm advised that
the BLon was called STB ( On the inverter board )that you tried a jumper
to that (where does the lead from that connector go)

Fuse read oo1. The 5v to pson worked. got 5v,12v and 24v Have not did jumper to BLon. Not sure how to go about it?

lead from connector on inverter goes to PSB

Sorry - not following this - it has 14 pin designation on the inverter board
which socket does it go to - cant see one with 14 pins?

          "Fuse read oo1."

Is that the same as holding your meter probes together or apart?

There are 2 plugs coming off the inverter board one with 10 pins goes to upper left corner of PSB and the other 4 pin plug goes to the main board

Re: sanyo DP32648 tv will not turn on

In order to start the power supply and test the inverter you need 2 wires. first wire goes from 5v standby + 1000ohm resistor to pson, then you run a 2nd wire and 1000 ohm resistor from 5v on power supply to stb pin on the inverter. Wire that all up with the main board disconected, and the inverter should turn on and youll see the screen glow (but still be black).

Also you run the 12v bulb between the 12v pin and a ground pin in the same socket (generally using the case as ground would work too, but ive always done it to the ground pin)

Fixed so far 12 lcd's , 1 plasmas, 5 monitors, 0 dlp's (plan to keep the dlps at 0). and 3 atx power supplies, and 2 motherboards.

So which pin (what does the label say) on the psb corresponds with the STB pin on the inverter board.

Re: sanyo DP32648 tv will not turn on

Selldoor: this set does not route the blon through the psu, there is a small 4 pin connector that goes straight from the motherboard to inverter to control stb, brightness, error. Its a Y cable basicaly, 14 pins (13 wires) at inverter, then 10 of them go to PSU, and 4(3 wires) go to motherboard.

Good, so we basicaly know the backlights are fine, you may want to measure the error pin, and see what voltage it has, so we know its not sending a error state to the mainboard, but there is like 0 chance that that is related to your tv not starting at all.

Yes but which PIN - this is hard work.

where is the error pin and how do you measure it. Thanks for the help

The STB pin is in a 4 pin plug that goes to K8L on the main board

the error pin is labeled err on the inverter, you just measure dc voltage in the 20v range on your meter between the err pin and a chassis screw. Do this while the set and inverter are on / backlights are lit up.
