    Viewsonic VX2433WM Identify Ceramic Cap

After a few minutes I have tracked down a CCFL problem to a single ceramic disk cap. It's labeled 5 3kv SEC(picture attached) and I can't find this for the life of me. If anyone could possibly point me in the right direction to a replacement you'd be life savers. Thanks in advance for any help and your time.

5pf 3000v is hard to come by, I use 6300v instead.

Just curious, how did you determine the problem?
36 Monitors, 3 TVs, 4 Laptops, 1 motherboard, 1 Printer, 1 iMac, 2 hard drive docks and one IP Phone repaired so far....

It belongs to my brother and he had someone replace all the electrolytic caps and when it still didn't work he brought it to me. Upon powering it on there was a loud hissing (sounds like a disk drive trying to read a disk almost) I pointed out the ceramics and found one of the 6 between lights and transformer(3 top, 3 bottom) was the culprit. The screen still works, but no back lights, ccfls work with a separate identical power source. The hissing capacitor "peaks" out and then backlights shut off and hissing ceases. As an educated guess I am assuming this is probably the broken link in the chain.

It may sound as if I may be speaking down to you through the explanation. I just laid out my entire trouble shooting steps so future readers can also possibly benefit. :P

Oh, and thanks budm. Those should work perfectly.

Is it possible to test small ceramic disc capacitor with analogue meter?
            by chth96
I read EBOOK of Testing Electronic Component and found that

"In order to test the small blue resin coated ceramic disk capacitor which has 104 50v specification,it is possible to test this small ceramic capacitor by making use of analogue meter.
Set to times 10Kohm that has 12v output from the probe to check disorder of ceramic capacitor.
It is not uncommon that testing result of digital capacitance meter is okay,But It show shorted reading when you check it with analogue meter."

Is it really possible to test small ceramic disc capacitor with analogue...

Looking for help with a Viewsonic VP230mb where the backlight comes on only momentarily
            by lostone
Hello, I came here after finding some similar questions asked on other monitors and hope someone here can help me get an ancient Viewsonic VP230mp (23" 4:3 LCD) back to working condition.

First a little background, I have a background in computer and electrical engineering, and I'm smart enough to know I know nothing about LCD displays and how they work. For this topic I'm as green as they come.
When the display is turned on the viewsonic logo displays in the uppper left for 2 seconds then the screen goes black, the power LED is green (on) and when a computer is connected...

            by thesame
Hy guys , i have a DVR board DS-80104 REV 2.2 that was powered wrong, i have some smds on the board that are blown and i can't identify them , maybe if someone has this board somehow and we can identify the smds', i have searched online and i can't find a schematic.
The smds are SOT-23-6 , one of them i think it has the marking ADJF since i found another one on the board with this marking , but the other one it seems that it starts with AG or it looks like. I would really apreciate if someone could help me identify those IC's .

Lenovo Legion 7 - Help Identify IC
            by silver60618
Hi gang, its a long shot, but working on Lenovo Legion Pro 7 motherboard NM-F091, and trying to identify this component near GPU with marking "eHFQH" that is burned and shorting the board. Looks like power management IC

I couldnt find any schematic or boardview. The CPU side also has same chip. Any way to identify this chip? or take measurements from the good chip to determine what it is?

            Any help would be appreciated...
