OK that's good, can you test voltage at the R1035 lead furthest from the transistor. This is a more direct way of probing the backlight command signal. Again chassis as ground.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

I just realised I'm a complete idiot - very sorry - I have been telling you to test the wrong component all this time!!
I just took another look at the schematic and saw my silly mistake. Sorry about that.
Instead it needs to be R1802, which controls the transistor Q1803. Please take a photo of the area around this component. I suppose testing both leads on it will be fine, in both standby and running conditions.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Ok First two pictures show me pointing to side that has no voltage rating, but on other side of that contact lead reads .3v, the other picture shows the Q1005 with the probe pointing to itAttached FilesComment

32.5v on R1803 and .9v on Q1803 but on opposite side of each post reads 0voltsComment

32.5V sounds far too high; do perhaps mean 3.25V?

Very, very unusual! Either way, it appears to be functioning well (0.9V at base of that transistor means it is being turned on), and the inverter is at fault. Next step - there should be a cap - C1800, 100uF 25V - which should have ~15.7V across it when that signal is high, and 0V in standby. Can you locate this cap?Please do not PM me with questions! Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
Another TV topic!!
I got this sharp TV that when I first plugged it in it showed the sharp logo and then went to the input screen. This was about 30 seconds and then it showed white screen. Now I can't see anything but white screen. This has a separate TCON and Main.
The TCON is getting 12V and several parts are as well but the VGH line is only .5Volts which I thought is totally incorrect.
Am I on the correct assumption that the TCON is bad somehow if I'm only getting that voltage or is there something else I should check?... -

I have a Dell G15 ryzen edition (ryzen 5) that turns on but won't post, black screen, keyboard lights on, caps lock led on, fans turns and the battery indicating light is showing 2amber and 1 white according to dell website it's a cpu failure, but i tried few basic things before i open it up i tested the screen by pressing the d button before powering it up but it didn't show anything i tried the ctrl+esc for bios recovery but still black screen i tried refreshing the screen, i plugged it on an external monitor but same thing. I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!!
what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol! 
i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...
