Re: vizio amber light E321VL
Please post the good clear pictures of the power supply board, especially where the connectors are, both top and bottom sides of the board.
The power supplies for 12vdc and 24 vdc are switched on the the PS_ON command from the Main board, no PS_ON then there will not be any 12 or 24vdc.
We need to find out if you do have the PS_ON at one of the pin on the power supply connector first.Never stop learning

Re: vizio amber light E321VL
OK, per your picture, pin 4 of CN101 is the PS_ON receving pin from the main board, Check the DC voltage of that pin when the TV is OFF, and when the TV is ON. Black probe of the meter can be on the chassis. We need tof ind out if the main baord is sending out 3.3~5vdc to this PS_ON pin first.Never stop learning

Re: vizio amber light E321VL
OK, I look at the label again , pin 11 is the PS_ON. So it is nothing there when you hit the power switch.
Can I see more pictures on how the main board is connected to the power supply board since the main board looks so small and I cannot see which connectors are connected to the power supply board. I can see some voltage regulator IC's on the main board.Never stop learning

Re: vizio amber light E321VL
Please also list the part number of those two regulators that budm circled so we know what the proper output voltage should be.--- begin sig file ---

Re: vizio amber light E321VL
Retest with multimeter set to 20V DC (twenty) so we get better resolution (more digits). Most voltage regulators have a +/- 1% tolerance so we need to see more resolution in your measurements to see if they are good or bad.--- begin sig file ---

Re: vizio amber light E321VL
I have 2 of these TV -- one that works and one with the same no power/ amber light symptoms. The broke TV is getting the same readings on U8. When the working TV is off, all 3 pins on U8 is reading millivolts; when it is on, it is getting the same readings as the broken TV. This leads me to think that U8 is OK and that there is a problem upstream from here. Please advise me on how to proceed. ThanksComment

Re: vizio amber light E321VL
had the same on e32vm the 1080p version i believe of this set, under one of the heatsinks was a 5amp 1000v diode shorted. i dont remember the diode number but you can't seee it for the heatsink it is marked on the bottom of the board though. there are two diodes there if one is shorted they both will read bad untill you desolder one of them then one is good the other is bad. hope this helps you out, i searched all day to find it, checked every component on the board and yes it was the last place i looked.Comment

by huzoThe board is daox8cmb6eo and i can't find no boardview or schematics on the forum or anywhere...
So i plug in the charger, amber light starts blinking ,there is 3.3V and 5V present, and 2.4V on the power button, board doesn't turn on, no shorts...
I've tried flashing the bios...
interesting thing is the battery was around 7,8V, and it's 11.1V battery, the mosfet near the battery is open, but not charging,i desoldered it,tested it and it's fine ,but the amber light kept going on the charger so i charged the battery with power supply and got it to about 10.5V... -
by What?Good day, hope all are healthy and cozy. I could use some help with my malfunctioning Vizio with a blinking power light. I have narrowed the problem to the main board but not sure what to do next. I guess it would be good to start with what I have done.
Problem:
I have no image, no sound, blinking power light. (left it plugged in overnight and it was still blinking the following morning). I tried the Vizio recommendations (hold power button for 30 seconds, press reset button, check the outlet is live)
Power Board:
I am getting 5v only. I have unplugged... -
by x_orange90_xI have a Vizio E550i-A0 that will not power on. It also does not display the standby light in the corner. I disconnected the main board cable to see if the backlights would light but they did not (maybe this is normal for this set?). I checked the voltages on the plug and they all read in mV or 0, so there's no voltage there. The fuses are ok, and the voltages of the 450v caps read about 160v. I see no visual damage on either the power supply or main board. I have read online that the main board is usually the culprit in this model, but not getting backlights with the main disconnected makes me...

Hello everyone. I have a problem with an HP laptop, when connecting the charger the amber light comes on for 6 seconds, changes to white and does not charge, I have checked all the components with the multimeter and the values seem correct, I was guided by the diagram, I do not know if it is a problem with the BQ24728H charge controller, investigating it seems that the voltages given by the charge controller are correct, I made the measurements connected to the power source and without the battery:
- ACN (BQACN) 19.6v
- ACP (BQACP) 19.6v
- CMSRC (BQCMSRC) 19.6v
- ACDRV... -
by zwectI have this Dell Latitude 5420 with ST: CMF62F3, board GDF40 LA-K491P REV 3.0 that does not power on, i already searched for some clues about this problem that happens on mine but no BIOS i downloaded and flashed did anything.
Only when the power brick is connected, when pressing the power button an amber light lights up at the front and slight decreases its brightness, the RAM and the CPU seem to heat up if the laptop is left connected but nothing else, other than USB devices getting powered.
Here is the original BIOS dump from the 25R256JVEN chip. - Loading...
