Yeah ofcourse, without the display, with old display,not working...Fans spin, cpu,gpu gets hot,keyboard lights are on, but no post..I don't get the +LCDVDD, INWPWRB+ is present...What else could lock the board unusable? Is there some protection as on apple devices? Can i post here the dump , maybe you can check it? I noticed there is a smaller bios chip , That's probably the GPU bios? i am not at home to check on the schematics...What could cause the board to have no picture? Is there a lock of some sort?...

Guys,did someone manage to solve this problem? I have the same issue! The screen was broken , i got the new one, and from that moment on the board does not POST! Caps lock doesn't work,no image, HDMI dead too.. What could cause the board to die after replacing the screen?? Ofcourse i disconnected the battery and PSU...I tried a dump found here,but maybe i need to upload my original to have it repaired? But why would bios image die after replacing the screen?

CAn someone check my dump? The board is acting strangely,RSMRST signals are going on and off, sometimes stay on, powerbutton is only 3.08V i tried a few of these dumps, non work...i have 3.3,5,1.8 and 1.0V on the board...no vcccpu......Leave a comment:

I have to find what turns the 20V line when there is no battery...Since when the battery is charged ,everything is ok,i get 20V through and everything is working, it just must not get drained under 5%...then it dies and wont charge.Leave a comment:

i don't have the boardview...but i am sure i don't have 20V anywhere on the board,exept when the battery is working or i inject 10+V on the battery terminal,then i have 20V on the board.......Leave a comment:

This is a different system, and i already said i've checked them.....It's USB-C input , and i get only 5V when the battery is empty,no20V ...i have to inject the voltage to the battery terminal to activate 20V from USB-c...First time i thought it's the battery ,when i put the new one it worked normally,but then again when the battery was left to deplete it wouldn't start neither on the charger nor the battery.....So the issue is ,it doesn't turn on when there's no battery or when the battery is empty..only when there is at least 10V on the battery connector ... The situation is that the laptop came to me dead...i plugged the charger, there was only 5V present on the usb meter thingy...i tested the battery ,it was dead, i plugged the other battery and laptop turned on,charged ,everything was ok...i've sold it and the customer returned it after two weeks ,says it's dead...i tested again it was dead,only 5V present on the charger...I injected 10V to the battery and it started again and everything was fine,charged up and was working...
So the probem is ,when the battery goes empty the charger won't start charging... -
Lenovo y700 not showing battery charge state
The above mentioned laptop with the board NM B-163 is showing 1% battery charge in OS,but the battery holds for about 2h when unplugged from the charger ....when plugged in the windows says plugged in,the voltage goes up from 13.6V when empty to 15.7V when full,nominal voltage is 14.8V for that battery....SO it does charge and it does deplete, but it doesn't show charging or goes up from 1% on the battery meter....Here is the schematic for the battery charge connector, how should i test data and clock lines? They are connected to the EC on the mentioned pins,so no brekage,i don't have an oscilloscope...

People ,my board died yesterday after bios update...it wen't from 3002 to 4001 version ,and after reset it never started up again, just blank screen altough i waited for like 5 minutes......But ok, i extracted the dump from .cap file ,and i tried flashing it and i tried the dump from this "urgently" post adn it doesn't work...the board worked perfectly until yesterday...CHAT GPT says that maybe the flash descriptor and PSP ,NVRAM should be flashed from the former bios...But i think something else is wrong....Leave a comment:

The battery is defective,that is true,and new battery works fine...The old battery gets 8.6V while the charge starts for a few seconds and the 0V, altough the battery is 11.55V nominal value it gets only 8.6V, So the old battery probably locked out because something..I forgot to measure the voltage on the new battery while charging but it wen't from 76% to 100%...So the issue is the old battery,but why,since the three cells inside are at 3.7V,so not like one of them died...Is it planned obsolecence?Leave a comment:

Another Asus ROG Strix G513 issue...
I see there are many issues with these laptops all over the place...but mine is special...
THe board is G513-6050A3249301-MB-A04 with Ryzen 9 5xxx and Nvidia 3070 on board...The issue is that the laptop freezes at boot of windows,linux,HBCD etc...Altough the HBCD manages to boot and then freezes after a minute or so... But when i boot linux and disable ACPI=OFF switch it boots and doesn0t freeze, the battrery ,and wifi are working, but the battery meter is not shown, because it's disabled...ANd since i boot from the USB , i can't really install the nvidia drivers to see if the GPU... -

Lenovo ideapad 1 not recognizing NVME
Model is ideapad 1 15amn7 ,the board is 5B21J30218 HLS1C_HLS1D LA-L502P with ryzen 5 7th gen... The laptop came to me for broken hinges and displaying only the backlight on the screen...i repaired the hinges and tried booting and all i got was backlight on the screen,but caps lock worked, so i figured the screen or the flat cable was bad, i had the same laptop and connected the cable and screen from the other and the screen acted same, and original lcd works on the other laptop...so then i started removing wifi card and nvme and it started showing picture and i figured out the nvme was blocking...
