Reflowing is a short-term solution, the tin is porous and does not improve with heating. Reballing is the best solution if you want a good repair. Yes, there are motherboards that still work after a reflow after half a year, but most of them don't make it.Comment

Do you mean that the processor would be faulty after overheating or do you mean that the cooling must be fixed too? I don't have anything to lose (except otherwise fine TV) so I think I'll go with reflowing and better cooling and try my luck. Or do you have something better idea?
Good to know! I didn't even think about those blobs deeply. And yes I do have three of them as shown in the picture. Do you have tips how to remove that black compound? I watched some videos in which they used hot air and careful scraping to remove it.Attached FilesComment

before 4-5 years.. i was out to visit friends family and was his grandma have this philips Main Soc usual BGA issue... and there nothings underhand... and i asked if this will not succeed then need to buy Boards or new TV.. she agreed.. then i used Cloth Iron she had really nice heavy with out Steam..LOL put wet cloth on the Soc. and let the Iron heat to its last degree then just put it on the cloth with out move for about 5-6 minutes.. the Tv start working... but later one year or more they told it back to same fault lolComment

Decent thermal camera is expensive but crucial in some situations. It's good for monitoring slight differences in temperatures and also tracing faulty components while injecting voltage! What did you do to that motherboard? Did you try to repair it?

I'm trying to repair this TV totally dead D501(T2D34 diode) is showing as shorted in circuit and out
Zd501,zd504,zd505 shorted in circuit but out of circuit there fine so stuck on trying to trace what causing the fault any ideas

And what's wrong with T2D34? It's not a simple diode, but a protective, bi-anode one, and you can't check it with a simple multimeter.Attached FilesComment

Your diode belongs to the ST02D series, the exact name (voltage) depends on the marking, its marking depends on the color of the inscription on it.

Hello all,
I have Philips Oled 55 (804/12) with black screen and red light blink.
I have opened TV and tested voltages based on similar oled topics, on power supply board i am getting ps_o/f 3.3v and 5v for t-con_o/f while panel_o/f is 0v. And i get black screen.
Also i have done self psb test and i am getting on psb +12V_t and also + 24V for panel. (Measurements on dmm are + 12.3V fot t-con and 22.4 for panel)
When i power only psb and tcon with 4 ribbons for panel i only get black screen.
My questions is what should i do next... -
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.
So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.

I write this to maybe help another with this TV.
So I aquired this TV a 2023 model. It started the 2 blink reboot problem which indicates bad panel. It was still under warranty and the repair man came by.
The Samsung repairman brought a brand new panel and switched my original boards to the new panel. The new panel then had the 2 blink error code. The repair guy said he has seen this and the MAIN board on this model will cause the 2 blink. He then replaced the main/power board (they are both connected) and put it back onto my original panel. Voila it worked.

Hello, guys!
The same 32" Philips TV I was having video issues, but now I don't have standby led at all. Someone here shared with me the schematic of the power supply, and checking the voltages, I see right after the resistor R604 I'm getting 1.6 v which is too low for enabling the Gate of the Q601 mosfet (the diagram says 4.2). On the R614 resistor I'm getting 181 V in and 117 V out, then through R603 I'm getting the same 117 V in and 59.9 V out, finally getting the latter voltage in the R604 BUT getting just 1.6 V out, which is the voltage that goes on to the Gate of the Q601... -
Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.
It does power up when pressing the power button.
I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.
Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?
