I got it fixed with a USB bootloader & firmware update.
This ZIP file TPM191E_101.2.178.0_upgrade_loader.zip contains a file named upgrade_loader.pkg
Just put it on a USB stick that is formatted MRB FAT32 clusters 64byte.
Insert into the Black USB 2 (500mA) port on the TV and hold down power button while plugin the power plug.
Now you see on the screen that a update is in progress and let go the power button, this takes about 15 to 20 minutes to finish.
When the update is done the TV switch itself off and you have to power it on by power button on the TV,...

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.
It does power up when pressing the power button.
I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.
Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ? -

Did you change the isl95855c chip ?
I was not able to solve, however I still have te board here and when I have the time I will look into it again as I don't believe the CPU is really dead.
The reason I say this is that I was having the board running with all voltages available for about 20 to 30 seconds.
I have replaced the board with the same mainboard number but it was a GS65 Stealth version not the P65 Creator SE.

All voltages are present except +VGFX_CORE
Controller chip is 95836H gives no output on UGATE1G and LGATE1G that drives both mosfets for +VGFX_CORE

Now I'm facing another problem.
I need to flash the P65 9SE "EC firmware" to the GS65 9SE mainboard EC chip but the software complains.
So I need to change the headers of the EC firmware file but don't know how to do.

I have a question about converting a MSI mainboard from one model to the another, these models are using the identical mainboards.
I like to convert the GS65 Stealth board to a P65 9SE Creator.
Both models have mainboard: MS-16Q41 Ver. 1.0
The only difference I can see at the moment is the that the GS65 has no connector and a missing transistor for the keyboard lights.
1. Would it be enough to swap BIOS
2. Would the EC firmware be the same for both boards
Does someone has experience with this? -

I have a question about the GPU VRM controller uP9512Q
If the IC got 5v on Pin-10 (5VCC) and 19v on pin-21 (VINMON) does it produce 2v out at Pin-17 (REFOUT) or does it first have to have the Enable on Pin-30 to have the 2v reference output working ?

You bet it is an exeption, it's an very expensive laptop and in mind condition.
I have search around and a used mainboard is about $500 to $600 and even then you don't know what you get, a new mainboard is $1200 !Leave a comment:
