I replaced all the capacitors, even the small ones under the heatsinks, except one under the heatsink of the secondary that I did not have (220uf 50V) but still not showing signs of life, I checked the schotty diodes and they are good no signs of short, I have always and only 5v standby, what do i do?Comment

Pin# 12 (vcc) is supplied by the standby transformer, Check the voltage on the driver transformer (arrowed) Also check the voltage on the two transistor bases.
What is the number on the other ic in the secondary?
Use the Secondary Ground to check all voltages on the secondary side (black probe on ground)

You don't understand the difference between the primary side of the power supply and the secondary?

That voltage for the driver transformer (arrow) is low, look at the schematic (R12 2.7k) and follow the line on your board, it should have 16v on one side of that resistor. A picture without the heatsink would help, The transistors to check are on the secondary (I marked the emitters with a E, and the base with a B and the collectors with a C. The transformer on your board (under the yellow arrow) is T2 on the schematic.

I checked the diodes and they are good, the resistances are good too, the transistors are c945, I tried the first one and I have the same value on E and C (i.e. about 618), on the other I noticed a strange thing about C gives me 618 on E 360, what do you say?Last edited by falcontech; 04-15-2020, 12:02 PM.Comment

Hi guys, I’m back here my friend give me her tv, that doesn’t turn on and no standby red led. When u plug in the cord the red led of one two second is on, then turn off. If you push the power button or the remote the red led blinks but nothing happen. I give u some photo with voltage, don’t look the fuse….because I blow it for mistake nd I dint have the right replace so I just put it for test the tv. The standby voltage should be 11,88 volt on the diode, but I have 13 volts. I put in the photo the different volts I test and there are someone negative…I don’t know if it s normal. On... -

Hello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. So i thought maybe lcd stripe is faulty, i removed the bottom cover, disconnected main battery, reset the cmos by disconnecting battery for 1 min, then slighty move the lcd stripe. Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on. Hello,
I need advice in troubleshooting Telefunken TV (it is actually Vestel). There is red Standby light but TV cannot be turned on either by remote control (which is good and tested on another TV) or by actual on/off switch at the back of the TV.
Power board is Vestel 17IPS71 and I'm not sure about the mainboard, it seems like 17MB82S
Both boards are shown in the attached photos.
What is normally first that is checked in this case. I have removed power board, make sure it has no dangerous voltage on the big caps and check many components (transistors and diodes)... -
My Samsung LN32B540 never turned back on after I had to turn off the power at the mains at house. It won't turn on, but the red standby led lights up when it is plugged in. If I hold down the power on the remote, the standby light turns off which I think means it is trying to turn on, but there's no sound or backlight. If I try to turn it on/off from the power button on the TV instead, it doesn't do anything at all.
It was plugged into a surge suppressor and was off (on standby) when I turned off the power,, so I don't know if it got a power surge or was on its way out anyway. I...
