    Thank you anyway.
I am attaching the patched file that worked on my P50. Maybe helps for anyone. The patched file is from another P50, that I got way back. I wanted to give it a try on this one, and it worked.

I've tried almost all the combinations and I still get the 0285 error with black screen, with/without hard drive, with/without holding the tamper switch, with/without the CMOS battery plugged in, the only thing I have not tried is removing the RAM. Does that matter? I also cleared the 1.2 TPM from the app and using Power Shell.

        Hey Y'all

I have an issue with my X280.
At "STEP 2: Boot the machine" i got no display, and I get beep code 0285 (TCG-compliant functionality related error / Might be TPM initialization failure).
If i re-flash my BIOS chip with the original unpatched BIOS, it boots normally.
Can anyone please help me with this issue?
        Thanks.

Just want to say thank you to @Knucklegrumble for this patch. Managed to unlock my x270 bios after getting the patch to run. Amazing work!

hello, this solution does not work on Lenovo e490 TP00094D, 20N9-S16L00 S/N PF-1PAA5L, NM-B911. After starting, nothing is displayed, a black screen and there is a sound as if the BIOS is damaged (TPM module fault). Do you have any idea?

                          Hello,
Does the extraction and programming of the BIN file have to be done on the chip itself with a programmer? Or could it be done with some software?

                          Thanks.

                            Hello everyone,

It seems like the issue with black screen and error code 0285 is more common that I thought. Has anyone figure out a way how to get it to work? I'd really appreciate any help.

The LPC approach worked for X1 Yoga 3rd Gen, Type 20LE (i7-8650U CPU). Thanks for the hint!

                                  It's not about the model...
It's about CPU type, if your CPU is i7-8850H then the autopatcher wont work.

Try LPC method described here : https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ss#post3237235

                                  Good luck!

I do have ThinkPad P72 (20MB, 20MC) [32MB] in my list of compatible ThinkPad models, meaning that I had patched it myself and confirmed working. I usually patch the earliest BIOS version downloaded from Lenovo website using Serial Number, then I use this patched BIOS Region and replace it in the Original BIOS, doing it this way I virtually eliminated any possible beep codes on patched files. You may have to add some padding at the beginning of the BIOS extracted from BIOS update to match the size of BIOS Region in your Original BIOS.

I am having an issue with the script, it always tells me that there's a dumping error.
I have dumped 4 times with power cycles in between and all the files are (MD5) the same, so i don't think its a bad dump.
                                      Could anyone please check?
The model is a T10 Thinkpad Tablet
