        Hello
I need help with password reset on panasonic cf-54C. I tried to remove the password myself. But I couldn't do it (I can go into the BIOS and change the settings there, but after rebooting the laptop asks for the old password again). I've attached the bios dumps in the archive.
Please help me what am I doing wrong?

            Thank you for your reply
I tried to set my password. But when I do "Factory Default", the password I set doesn't work anymore. It seems that the laptop somehow remembers the old password and sets it again.
I also tried changing different security settings, but nothing helped.

Thank you very much. It works. If it's not a secret, how did you do it? Did you use a dump from another laptop as a basis?

I managed to make a bios dump without a password. I used the dumps from this thread and cleared the ME region. All that remains is to transfer the DMI information. If I understand correctly, it starts at address 0x00800000.

                                          Re: Panasonic CF-54 Bios Password

I got it. Looking through other bios dumps in this thread, I saw that the mac address is often found here 0x1000 and here 0x2000.
I copied these lines of code from the backup bios and it didn't change anything. Then I realized that the problem was probably with the Windows system. It had somehow memorized the Mac's address and didn't change it. After reinstalling Windows, the problem was solved, and the Mac address changed to the one in the original bios.

Dell Latitude 5530 BIOS Password Removal Attempted but I Broke the Laptop

Sorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.

I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip...

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

                                            Hello Hello,

I have been browsing the site and gotten so much useful info from here, including extremely helpful boardviews and several other very useful types of information. I am very grateful to this community, as I have actually eeked out a living from buying salvage PC's & Macbooks and repairing them. So, thank you all in advance!

I have searched and found some useful information regarding my issue, but my case is a bit different than the info I'm finding. But if anyone here can give me any useful advice, it would be highly appreciated.

                                            TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" Bios Password Problem?

                                            Hello,

I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).

But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.

I'm trying to reset my bios without success.

                                            I tried :

-I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries...
