Hello
I unpacked the Dell UEFI BIOS using Dell PFS BIOS Extractor v4.6 and v6.0_a16. I got the files "System BIOS with BIOS Guard.bin", compared them in the hex editor and realized that they are different! Which version of Dell PFS BIOS Extractor should I use to unpack the bios?
Quite often, after unpacking the bios, Dell PFS Extractor creates several folders and creates a text document with a description that contains various "Model IDs". How to choose the right folder? I tried searching for these "Model IDs" in the bios dump, but it didn't help.

Hello
I have a Dell latitude 5510 laptop that stopped turning on after a failed bios update.
Motherboard: FDW50 LA-J381P
S/T: 5GP9N13
CPU: i5-10310U (UMA)
I can't build a new bios dump. Need some help. I'll write down what I did point by point.
- Using the service tag, I downloaded the bios update from the official Dell website.
- Then unpacked the bios parts using this script: https://github.com/platomav/BIOSUtilities/blob/main/Dell_PFS_Extract.py

Re: HP EliteBook 855 G7 Bios unlock
Hello
I have a problem with removing the bios password from HP EliteBook 855 G7.
S/N: 5CG11534NN
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U
MB: 6050A32000201-MB-A01(A1)
I tried to clear the Nvram and UserCred lines (it worked on previous laptops). But instead, I got an error"hp endpoint security controller problem" when I turned on the laptop. Please tell me if anyone knows what I did wrong.
I'm attaching backups of the original bios and my attempts to delete it....Last edited by freeflight; 11-21-2023, 02:39 AM.

Re: Panasonic CF-54 Bios Password
I got it. Looking through other bios dumps in this thread, I saw that the mac address is often found here 0x1000 and here 0x2000.
I copied these lines of code from the backup bios and it didn't change anything. Then I realized that the problem was probably with the Windows system. It had somehow memorized the Mac's address and didn't change it. After reinstalling Windows, the problem was solved, and the Mac address changed to the one in the original bios....

Re: Panasonic CF-54 Bios Password
I am very grateful for help. But have one more small problem. How can I transfer the mac address from an old bios dump? Transferring the mac address (from 0x00001000) in the hex editor didn't help.

Re: Panasonic CF-54 Bios Password
I managed to make a bios dump without a password. I used the dumps from this thread and cleared the ME region. All that remains is to transfer the DMI information. If I understand correctly, it starts at address 0x00800000....
