Quick update—I managed to clean the ME region in the BIOS dump from the first post! Using MFIT 18 and the ME region from the BIOS update (extracted via Dell PFS Extract), I finally got it working. The laptop boots up and runs great now. Unfortunately, the "Absolute" option is still enabled in the BIOS, but there's no blocking behavior at all (I installed Windows 11 on an NVMe SSD and used it for a while without issues). I think it's because I entered my own serial number, or maybe the lock doesn't kick in right away?

One more thing I noticed: different versions of the...

I work at a recycling firm, and we occasionally get these laptops as scrapped electronics for refurbishing or recycling. It wouldn't feel right to reach out to Dell for support on something that's already off their books like that....

Hello! Thank you again for your helpful guidance—it's been really valuable as I work through this. Out of curiosity and to better understand the process, could you kindly share how you determined that the SKUs "0CB9,0CBA,0CBB" align with Meteor Lake (ME 18), while "0CBC" corresponds to Raptor Lake (ME 16)? Is this from the PFS extract metadata, Dell documentation, or another source? I'd greatly appreciate any insights you can provide—it's helping me learn a lot!

  • In the folder unpacked via Dell_PFS_Extract, there are two versions: the first with date codes "0CB9,0CBA,0CBB" and the second with date code "0CBC". When choosing, I relied on the ME region version: the "0CB9,0CBA,0CBB" has version 18.x (that's why I chose it), and "0CBC" has 16.x. But if the CSME versions were the same, how can I figure out which one I need? I've often seen three or even four versions in one folder. How can I figure out which version we need?

P.S.: I also noticed that different versions of Dell_PFS_Extract...

I found MFIT version 18.x, and from the BIOS update on the official Dell website, I extracted the ME region and BIOS region. I performed the "cleaning" of the ME region the same way as for previous CSME versions (as described in the instructions on Win-Raid), but unfortunately, I couldn't find any guides specifically for CSME 18. I managed to create a new BIOS dump with a clean ME (using the dump from the first post, and also replacing the BIOS region in it). As a result, the laptop tries to turn on several times, but unfortunately, it doesn't display any image.

    Could I...

Unfortunately, my old BIOS was completely corrupted during a failed bios update. The BIOS flash is almost entirely empty (MX77U51250F U2501). I need a new bios dump from another Precision 3591 with clean me. Please help me.

    P.S.
My ME Analyzer doesn't detect the ME region in this dump (in post #1). Could you suggest any tools I can use to clean the ME region? I haven't worked with Intel's Core Ultra series before.
    --------
I realized that the dump has CSME version 18.x, but ME Analyzer only supports versions up to 15-16, which is why it was giving an error. I used...

Hi! Could you please send me the BIOS dump (U2501) for Dell Precision 3591? If the MX77U51250F chip cannot be read, you can select the MX25U51245G from your programmer’s list as a similar alternative, as it’s supported by most programmers. I'd appreciate your response!...
